Phr00t's new game has had an official v1.0 release.
It is a radical change from his earlier work, for example it starts with "It is the year 3080"...
Anyway, the game and mobs are still procedurally generated, and it is still 3D, blocky shooter-explorer game, but this time it is all inside different "generators" as opposed to fully free roaming. Phr00t describes it as a "3D Metroidvania game" and there are a much bigger focus on 3D space navigation and boss fights. As the rooms are procedural, some of them do actually become interesting spaces to navigate, it includes things like water, moving platforms, spikes and so on. It also have one of the most functional 3D maps I have seen in a 3D game.
As a first impression - for a one man show, it is not bad at all so far. It may have more game elements the 3079 hough in the end it may not have the longevity of 3079's sandbox nature. The music is quite nice also.
For those interested there are a demo on the games webpage:

I kind of like it so far. (though I still think Phr00t is a silly name and he should stop using it...)
