I've got a bit of time on my hands because work is getting light, so back with another attempt at a giveaway game. I plan on continuing to host this game so long as people want to keep playing it. It's a $6 GOG giveaway. If you win, you can play again and go for an extra $6.

The winner isn't declared for a few days. But, it should only take about 10 minutes to learn the basics, and about 10 more minutes to make your moves, give or take.

Quick overview: There are two players. Each player gets 10 "cards", each of the "cards" is a fantasy creature. The players give each of the cards a unique number from 1 to 10. I'll then calculate a "battle" between the creatures - you can just sit back and watch the action.

#1 vs. #1, #2 vs. #2, #3 vs. #3, and so on, until it's #10 vs. #10.

So there are 10 battles and the winner is the player who wins the most battles. But again, you don't perform the battles, you just set your "line up" and watch it go. You can change it later if you want, but that's optional.

Thanks, but I'm sure I could have worded it better. I suspect that when it starts, it will be easier to understand. As soon as you're ready. The game starts as soon as I have both of your lists. :)

I forgot to mention in the manual: I use random.org to get the die rolls.

Battle 1/10:

Licurg's Assassin VS. Stooner's Undead Warrior.

Licurg's Assassin attempts to hit Stooner's Undead Warrior.

Roll was 9. Assassin's have +1 H, so Licurg's total Hit roll is 9 + 1 = 10.

Stooner's Undead Warrior attempts to avoid the Hit.

Roll was 19.

Licurg's Asssassin's total Hit roll was (+1 = 10. That is less than the Avoid total of 19 by Stooner's Undead Warrior.

Therefore, Stooner's Undead Warrior's avoided Licurg's Assassin's Hit.. Stooner's Undead Warrior has survived.

Stooner's Undead Warrior attempts to Hit Licurg's Assassin.

Roll was 2. Ouch.

Licurg's Assassin attempts to Avoid the Hit.

Roll was 6.

Stooner's Undead Warrior had a Hit total of 2, which is less than Licurg's Assassin's Avoid total of 6.

Therefore, Licurg's Assassin avoided the Hit. Licurg's Assassin has survived!

This battle is a draw, as neither creature was able to kill the other. Neither player earned a Victory Point for this battle.

But don't worry my friends, for 9 creatures remain on each side!

I will wait AT LEAST 8 hours before the next battle and each of you have 9 creatures left on your list. If you would like to change the order of your remaining creatures, you can do so by sending me a private message. Thanks!

I hate draws... They're so inconclusive :/

Yeah, I wish the formula provided for more carnage. As it stands, I predict that only about 25% of the creatures will fall in battle. We'll see how it goes and if it doesn't work well then maybe I'll change the rules a bit before the *next* game.

But I do think it will work. :)
