Finished Freespace yesterday and the expansion a few minutes ago.
EDIT:
lotr-sam0711: I hated the combat and the fact that my companion kept dying over and over again no matter how many times I replayed the same section. But I loved the platforming parts. Why does the game even need combat? I would have loved it if it was just a bunch of awesome time rewinding platforming.
I have a similar problem with a lot of games where the combat intrudes on what would otherwise be a fantastic game. If you are going to make combat make it good or not at all. Anything in-between is unacceptable.
Pretty much how I feel about it as well...

Just recently finished red alert 3 and drakeneye. Red alert was fun but no where as good as red alert 2 and drakeneye one brilliant rpg from germany.

Finished Freespace 2. I can now, without doubt, say that the Freespace series are some of the best games I've ever played. Though playing Freespace 2 directly after the first one began feeling a bit redundant, so I recommend a little break in between.
