aluinie: the staff that thinks the latest COD is the best game ever.

Elenarie: And you mention that as a bad thing why?
As we all know COD is just the same thing over and over and over the formula has not changed the enemies might have but its all the same there are a lot better games than COD which are not clones of itself. I think there was less clone troopers in star wars than there was COD games.

Same with the D&D RPGs here.

aluinie: I have not been in game for years due to the ever decreasing pc selection and the staff that thinks the latest COD is the best game ever.
I think that the decreasing PC selection is because consoles bring in a lot more sales. PC gamers have largely moved to downloads and PC sales of games are typically lower than consoles anyway. It's probably no big loss for the stores to remove the PC section.

Funny that it was precisely their dwindling PC section what pushed me towards online sells, but it's not like I can't understandwhy they do it.

Gaming stores rely on a steady flow of used games to make the real money, which of course doesn't apply to PC games, so their disinterest is quite understandable.

General-purpose stores that don't do trading will generally have a much larger selection of PC games since a PC copy sold is just as profitable as the console versions. In my city the local Dick Smith Electronics has PC games taking up at least as much shelf space as any one console if not more (with budget titles and compilations in racks nearby). Retail is also generally cheaper than digital here (due to Steam etc. having artificial price increases for overseas buyers, unlike GOG) and these days they mostly all activate on Steam or whatever anyway.
