azah_lemur: Why would USAF sponsor such a game?
Maybe they wanted to look cool ? :P

tgeorgic: Remember to play Grim Fandango for November 1st.

szablev: This.
I haven`t seen anyone mention American McGee`s Alice yet. Not really horror, but sort of goes with the "spooky" theme.
This reminds me, I need to get back to Alice Returns. I really didn't like what I played of the first one.

Awesome game.

Love all the adventure mentions.

I really enjoyed that game.

My pick for Halloween would be the first Blair Witch game. I remeber it being creepy and having a nice atmosphere.
I didn't know there were Blair Witch games in existence.

If only LucasArts would come to GOG.

There are three actually, but I've only played one "Btair Witch volume 1: Rustin Parr" and it was pretty nice. The other two volumes ("The Legend of Coffin Rock" and "The Elly Edward Tale") I somehow missed.
Post Mortem sounds like it would fit the Halloween theme somewhat.

If you can get them and get them running properly, there's always the two Dark Seed games.

Can't forget Blood, of course, that game was made to be played on Halloween...

Smannesman: Halloween Harry of course.
avatar
Red_Avatar: Of course - at least someone here mentions that game :p. Aren't GOG posters supposed to be retro gamers? Tssk, you disappoint me ...

And yeah, Halloween Harry was a brilliant platform game.
Don't forget Zombie Wars ;)
Two pages, and nobody has mentioned ALONE IN THE DARK??

I am disappointed in you all.

Go get it now! http://www.gog.com/gamecard/alone_in_the_dark

Ric1987: That game looks terrible but I'd still like for it to come to GOG so I can play it. XD
If by terrible you mean amazing, then sure.

(Disclaimer: I have not actually played this game).

re: the OP, if you don't have Windows 7, you should play Dark Corners of the Earth.

Ghost Master, if you are in the mood for a few Halloween themed laughs.

Nocturn is a great Halloween game, but seems to be unplaybale on anything beyond Windows XP. It is a game I REALLY want to see on GOG.
Interestingly enough, Blood Rayne started as Nocturn 2,but was changed when Nocturn did not sell all that well.

This game got me thinking about Grabbed by the Ghoulies, an excellent choice for halloween, with spookiness and good laughs. Unfortunately it's an Xbox exclusive.

Rollercoaster Tycoon and Theme Park World also have Halloween themes. That would make the perfect cozy Halloween without any actual scares.

Yes. I think this is the perfect halloween game.
Blood, Alone in the Dark, and Nocturne. Nocturne, as was noted, is, as far as I know, impossible to get running on Windows 7, but it works on XP. I will also toss in the F.E.A.R. series (1, 2 and 3), and Condemned.

Damn, I wish I still had mine!
