Finished with BFBC2. Glad I got it super cheap. The squad AI is terribad. Like, so bad that during the time I spent in the game the squad would stay behind 90% of the time until I'd cleared a minimum of a third of the enemies in the next segment out.

Also, when the squad was in firefights with me, I noticed that the enemy AI would attack me and only me, even if they hadn't seen me yet and I was hiding behind a wall.

Reminds me of Gears of War where the enemy AI attacks the player even if the squad is tearing the crap out of it. Not a fan of that style, though I haven't played many squad shooters. Seems highly unrealistic (not that games are realistic) that in a firefight one person would be gunned down even if it meant the enemy was taking bullets left and right to get to that person.

Anyway, got about an hour and a half out if it before uninstalling it. Not gonna bother with the multiplayer. But at least I can say I finished one game out of my backlog! And it cost me less than the price of a combo meal or a movie ticket, so I am fairly neutral about the purchase.
Duke Nukem Forever

Well I left it there unfinished few weeks ago, and as Last Remnant is unplayable without joypad (next time I get bright idea of playing PC port of console RPG without joypad, someone please bitchslap me...oh and SqEnix porting sucks) I came back to it. Fact that I left it midgame and that I don't remember almost anything tells much about it. For what I remember it's *yawn* more pigs? *yawn*. Few really funny comments (Oh and it had such great gas mileage for truck that you refueled 3 times in 10km was just...lol) other than that...no, nothing to write home about.
Oh and one of loading screens is great. (Remember if you get stuck you can cheat by looking at FAQ online)
Blackwell Convergence:
I liked that the graphics and voice acting really improved compared to the 2 previous games. The story is very interesting too. I like how it includes real life people and gives explanations about their actions in a way that affects the games plot but doesn't seem forced. If anything, this game made me find out who Joseph Mitchell and Joe Gould were.
Unfortunately not everything is better. The puzzles are way too easy, in fact, it took me less time to finish Convergence and Legacy or Unbound even though there is much more content.
Dead Space
Tron Evolution
Dead Space 2
Venetica
Mega Man: Network Transmission
Duke Nukem Forever
BloodRayne
Hard Reset

Mega Man 10
Serious Sam 3: BFE
Resident Evil (GameCube remake)
Cave Story+ (normal ending only)
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Jade Empire: Special Edition
Alan Wake (+ both DLCs - The Signal & The Writer)
American McGee's Alice

---------------- since then

Bulletstorm
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (Ayame's and Rikimaru's campaigns)
Kingpin: Life of Crime (w/ Rags 2 Riches mod)
Risen (first playthrough)
Just finished Thief II: The Metal Age last night. On the whole, I really enjoyed the game, its atmosphere, and the story (though some of the elements were unclear because I have not played The Dark Project. However, towards the end the puzzles and what needed to be done seemed in the realm of 'how would I have ever guessed to do that'. But I did enjoy the game a lot, and will definitely pursue the rest.

So far:
Just Cause 2
Cave Story+
Area 51
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
XIII
Star Wars: Jedi Academy
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Metro 2033
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Mirror's Edge
Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money: This was a fair bit shorter than I expected (hence why I finished it in 2 days or so), but that was actually a good thing because I have fairly mixed feelings about this one: Pros: Great writing (especially among your buddies), lots of skill checks for some of the lesser-appreciated skills (namely Speech, Lockpick, Science, Repair, Medicine, and even some Barter), Good atmosphere and visual design, self-contained economy. Cons: Exploring the Villa gets tedious and samey after a while. lack of enemy variety (Radroaches, Ghost People, and invincible Holograms), frustrating game mechanics added to cheaply increase tension (head-exploding radios, toxic clouds), lack of good loot (the Holorifle is pretty cool, as is the Bear Trap Fist, but other than that there's not much of note). In summary, it's initially quite cool, but becomes quite a slog about halfway through the Villa section. I liked the Sierra Madre proper (most reviewers seemed very let down by it), it felt very Bioshock with the aesthetic and the logs detailing the doom of the casino, and it dialed down the annoying stuff in favor of one of the expansion's strengths: character interaction.. In the end, despite the tediousness I enjoyed it mainly for the writing and I would recommend it, but play Honest Hearts first (it's better suited for lower levels anyway).

Now on to Old World Blues! It's entertaining so far, and the loot situation is better: Right out of the gate you get a cool Sonic Pistol and a minigun with a dog brain.

Master Games Completed in 2012 List (I think this is all of them): Grim Fandango, The Longest Journey, Arcanum, Honest Hearts, Dead Money Stacking, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition aaand... I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something.

Spec Ops: The Line

First of all, I wanted to say that I feel like heartless, mindless, piece of shit after completing this game, and I'm almost certain you will feel similar way if you play it. Oh, and if I had better rig, and played it in full resolution, and on easier difficulty so I completed it without stooping I would probably want to kill myself for what I did in-game. Well maybe I'm overreacting but anyway... But all of this doesn't mean it's bad game. Quite the contrary, it's great game. It just doesn't fit in definition "We play games to have fun*.
Aaaaanyway, technically this game is one more 3rd person cover shooter based on Unreal 3 engine, where you kill some poor guys coming at you. Oh and it has f*ing context-sensitive buttons. Did I ever say how much I hate these? No? Yes? One more time, just in case, I HATE THOSE THINGS! They are primary reason why I got killed so many times (and I got killed few godzilion times). Oh and once again you are locked in that over the shoulder perspective. Bah. AI is amazingly good, both enemy and friendly.
I got stuck on few places, and by stuck I mean quicksand stuck. Ask my keyboard if you don't trust me, it wasn't amazed by my reactions of smashing it into nearby objects. :D While I'm at it ammo for your favorite gun is ridiculously hard to get, and I ended up shooting guns I wholeheartedly hated for 35+% of the game.

Conclusion is I recommend playing this game, unless you already have suicidal tendencies, it's one of rare examples of good storyline in those games. I'd probably have few more things to add up, but I'm not sure if anyone managed to read on for this long?, and saying more to it would probably just spoil it.

Honest hears has some great armor and loot if you follow the survivors trail. Plus, His story was pretty sad.

Yeah, I enjoyed Honest Hearts. It's a little slight, but it was well done and the armor is pretty sweet.
Finished ToME 4 (Tales of Maj'Eyal) the correct way this time - on Roguelike mode.
I just finished The Darkness II - the Single Player Campaign portion.

Added it to my list for 2012:

Does it count if you finished Diablo 3 on Normal, Nightmare and Hell? xD
Portal 2 is removed from my backlog now. An enjoyable puzzler with many entertaining characters, especially Wheatley (even funny than GLaDOS). A fairly short game, only about 7 hours, but the pacing was excellent. Another one in the bag!

So far:
Just Cause 2
Cave Story+
Area 51
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
XIII
Star Wars: Jedi Academy
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Metro 2033
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Mirror's Edge
Portal 2

Congrats on that list! Also, about hot pursuit - Go back and do the legendary road car and post a time less then 2:50. Then you have truly completed it.
Half-Life
Portal
GTA Vice City
CoD MW3
The Walking Dead (Ep. 1 & 2)
Spec. Ops: The Line
Max Payne 3

I don't finish most games I play... dunno why. I'm halfway trough Quantum Conundrum, EDF: Insect Armageddon and Saboteur and only have like 2 or 3 levels left to beat the original LEGO Batman.
