I also hate their complete lack of information about what games are updated. I just combed through my library and discovered they had added manuals for several games. Probably some of the games themselves are updated, but hell if I know which ones.

And yes, just noticed the manuals thing myself.

Thanks for the heads-up! I've written a complaint about Gray Matter, and I'd encourage everyone who feels cheated by this move to do the same. I do use Steam, and I occasionally buy Steam keys from GG, but that does not automatically mean I'm fine with them replacing the product I paid for without warning. I bought Gray Matter from GG because it was DRM-free. If it had been Steam only at the time, I would have skipped the offer and waited for it to appear on GOG (as it ultimately did).

The thing to do is to complain to the attorney general's office or whatever the equivalent is where you live. There's no way on earth that this is legal in most places, despite what they might claim in their licensing agreement.
I paid for games that weren't infected with Steam and they have no legal right to change that without compensating me for the loss of my game.

Think I'm going to pick up The I of the Dragon and be done with GG. Might also get Archon Classic off my wishlist there too, even though it never seems to go on sale.

If this is deliberate, removing DRM free from downloads of purchased games, then that is unforgivable and I won't ever buy from those guys. Hopefully it is just a cock up though.

More than 3 weeks ago, there was an Arcen sale on GamersGate, where all their titles were converted to Steam keys. Mind you, though, I noticed this practice earlier when Explodemon had the "New" tag on GamersGate some months ago, which made me scratch my head in confusion. "Wasn't the game already on GamersGate? What do you mean, new?" Alas, it was already available indeed, but now it's "newly" available in the form of a Steam key.
IAmSinistar: Looks like the only game worth grabbing with my meager blue coins now is The I of the Dragon. Any opinions on this? And is it truly DRM-free, as I have heard folks say that some Topware titles contain their own form of DRM. This specific one is DRM-Free, but make no mistake, though; Topware love their proprietary DRM. They love it so much that it's in every game that says "Other DRM". They love it so much that they don't offer a single Steam key and prefer to instead use their own DRM on GamersGate.

Are the Arcen games (A Valley Without Wind / AI War) all going Steamworks? AVWW talks about a 1.2 version, but GG doesn't appear to have a way to download it.
