Immoli: I'd get it if not for Kenshi having securom and if not for it being sold by GG.
Demise looked interesting too, but they changed that.

Petrell: Kenshi shows as having "Other DRM" for me and that's usually serial (my copy has one but won't be trying it for quite a while).
Eh, guess I will just email the developer or GG and ask them.
What an amazing bundle, ill definately grab it.

grviper: Well, it doesn't even use the GG downloader. You get an archive from the manuals/patches section of the game page at GG, unzip the archive, run WL, it instantly goes online connects to a server and starts downloading updates several times the archive's size.
i just hate how GamersGate doesn't manage to have a uniform release policy for their games. you'll find all kinds of DRM schemes in their editions as well.

does that mean you can't actually play Wanderlust offline/disconnected from the internet?
Well, this is no Humble Bundle :-p. Bit over 1400 bundles sold and 12000$ earned during first 24 hours. Cardinal Quest Soundtrack and Puckbang unlocked. I wonder if it'll even make it to 50000$ to unlock the secret bonus.

I plan to test this pretty soon.
Black Market is a great game for anyone who loves space trading games, its fun and amusing, so if I didnt already own it I may have picked it up just for that.
Is it just me or is Demise: Ascension not even on GG?
Can we gift the stuff we don't want or need? I already have Steel Storm and wouldn't mind giving that away to someone as a gift.

I'm able to gift things I haven't downloaded right now. I own Steel Storm and Cardinal Quest already so will likely find homes for them.

This is their policy: You can gift any purchased game, immediately after the order is completed. Select witch games you want to give away and click the ~Gift selected~ button. Games can be gifted to either one of your GamersGate buddies or a friend through an e-mailed gift card.

Please note that it is only possible to gift games when you have not yet started downloading the game and you have not clicked the ~Show serial key~ button to receive a serial key.

The only thing that throws me off is the immediately. I'm able to gift now but not sure when or if it'll stop letting me.

If the bundle is just the same as the main site, I have some games I've bought over an year ago, and they're still giftable. One thing of note is that, until a few months ago, you could re-gift games you were gifted, but they have changed this so gifts are permanent.

I can't even connect to the server :(
Wanderlust can be played Single Player. I just unplugged my internet mid game and it did not try to kick me out. I also restarted it to see if it would let me start it up without the internet and it did. I think you need to set up the account first and then you're good to go.

thanks for posting that.

i just bought the bundle.

- Wanderlust asks you (in-game!) to sign up and register your CD-key. seems like you can't start your main quest without that.
- Black Market seems pretty cool.
- Devil Whiskey is still awfully old-school (not in a good way), but i'm gonna give it a chance.
- Kenshi is apparently unpatched and needs to download quite a patch first. why doesn't GG offer the latest build? CD-key entry required for full content. (i'm aware the game is work in progress.)
- Steel Storm is surprisingly fun.
- Cardinal Quest has major install issues. won't install at all for me (W7x64), though the issue is mostly reported from Linux users. solution is to extract the installer to wherever you want the game. done.

oh, and you really can't save in Cardinal Quest?!? i know it's supposed to be old-school and all that, but this is pushing it a bit too far, IMO.

overall the distribution of the bundle seems kind of rushed. both Wanderlust and Kenshi need to connect to their respective servers first and download data and/or patches. both also require you to register your CD-key for full content. Cardinal Quest has some serious install issues. the previous bundles and indies offered elsewhere (Humble Bundle, Indie Royale, Steam, etc.) had none of those problems. i hope GG improve the way they handle their indie bundles in the future.

the games are pretty cool, though, and pricing is definitely OK, considering the minimum is only €5, with the option of giving more if you feel like it.
