can't blame them since probably most of them were lured to video games because of the awsome graphics they have today

I used to frequent Gamefaqs, but yea...too many kids nowadays (though there's still Classic Gaming Board). The only other forum I regularly visit now is Penny Arcade forum.

I can't imagine myself having never heard of even one of those great series. What a way to live. I've got nothing against kids today, besides the naughtier ones who refuse to go to bed, but I bet most won't be willing to cast second glances at System Shock 1 due to "painful" graphics.

With the way EA keep their old franchises under locks without any rereleases (not even a crappy one), I can't really blame new gamers for their ignorance...

Especially since a large portion of them are console only gamers.
There are some forums on GameFAQs that actually have reasonable, well thought out discussions; however, they are hidden far away from the average GameFAQs user.

LOL, Gamefaqs makes me laugh.

Of course, the site management doesn't help matters by running their idiotic "character battles" six months out of the year. Once was enough for anyone's lifetime.

That's a lot of people unfamiliar with those games. Providing they don't immediately dismiss them, as being too old, there is a fair bit of potential to show them to others.
Road Rash I'm not that surprised being the highest game, it was on quite a number of console releases way back when.

I try to avoid reading other forums besides this one and Abandonia, but I do frequent the escapist from time to time.
Occasionally, the sheer ignorance makes me feel like my brain is leaking out of my ears.
I wasn't even aware that Gamefaqs had a forum until a few years back, I only go there for walkthroughs.

The very fact that GameFAQs is a Gamespot site should tell you all you need to know about how retarded the user base is. It's the gaming equivalent of Youtube.
