I may be the only person who loved the Earthsiege series, but pretty much all of their games were awesome, whether we're talking about Earthsiege or Cyberstorm.

Let's, uh, let's not mention Cyberstorm 2, though. I try to pretend it never happened.

A sequel to Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura could be awesome.

And I would seriously punch *kittens* for a good TIE Fighter sequel. Oh my, yes, I would.

Unfortunately, if any of the 'remakes/sequels' that have been released or announced lately are any indication, it would end up being 1st/3rd person shooter/hack&slash hybrid. I want mah isometric HC (no compromises for casual gamers or mass appeal!) RPG with turn based combat! (and yes, I do know it's never going to happen)
I don't know if things would change too much, but another Einhander would be nice.

Maybe a Gabriel Knight, but I hated the second one.

Half-Life....LOL!!!!!!!

I know I'm in the minority here, but I've played through both Fallout 1 & 2 a couple of times, and loved the dickens out of Fallout 3. I'm halfway through to Fallout: New Vegas, but sadly had to stop playing the game when I moved out here to Poland this month. My 360 would very likely have been helpfully liberated by the TSA if it was in my luggage.

Point being, I'd probably be okay with it. I'm thinking of something like Bioshock 3 meets Arcanum. I would squee.

Note: this does not mean that I am okay with the new XCOM game. If I had my druthers, I would burn it with *fire*.

If they didn't call it XCOM I'd be okay with it. This isn't a revival so much as it is "oh, we've run out of ideas for names, let's just call it something that sounds familiar"
You know, I'm actually really excited for the new XCOM. I like the style, I like the idea of being on the ground, and from everything I've heard the researching and stuff is all going to be in. I'm hoping it will deserve the XCOM name. That said though, I would like to see a tactical XCOM game too.

Think you could punch lucasarts to get us the original?

X-Wing, too!!
Years ago I would have still been advocating a Wing Commander or Ultima revival, but now it's been so long since those series were relevant that I've sort of stopped giving a shit. That and a "re-booted" entry in the games would undoubtedly be a compromised mediocre imitation, with a dazzling engine and graphics, sure, but it would miss the magic of the original games. The miserable end Ultima endured was pretty ignominious, with the Ultima IX development hell and quarrel with EA debacle, but Wing Commander was pretty stellar to the end. They were about the only successful experiments in FMV gaming around.

An Arcanum or Vampire: The Masquerade sequel (connected to Bloodlines or an original) I'd die for, except I'd want it made by Troika. Otherwise it'd be too easy to foul up by dumbing down the mechanics, details, subtleties, and writing that stood out in those games. I would have preferred to play Black Isle Studios' Van Buren to Bethesda's Fallout 3. I would have preferred to play a hypothetical Looking Glass Studios' Thief 3 as well.

Alpha Centauri is still my favorite game of all time, though by this date even I admit it graphically needs an overhaul. As a testament to its design genius, that's about all it really needs, to be honest, aside from bug-cleaning. Some cleaner, more modern graphics while still retaining the dark and sinister isometric grit of the original Chiron (instead of the cartoony route the Civilization series has taken), while not being too resource-intensive to make it run efficiently on laptops, would be most welcome.

I'm really upset Headfirst Studios didn't get to develop the other two games in their planned Lovecraft trilogy after Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

HomerSimpson: Yes, indeed! How could that one have been overlooked?

doccarnby: Well, technically, it never died, just moved to Japan. Really.
Yes - but that is not the rest of the world

Lucasarts employs kittens? That would certainly explain Force Unleashed 2. But they're doing their best, the poor little things.
For me personally id say Freelancer.

Id also love to see C&C in different hands/revived but thats a totally different topic.
Does anyone still remember "Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri" from Looking Glass back in 1996 I think?

Man, that was an awesome game back in the day. I'd love to see a sequel of that. I played it again a few years ago, still loved it, even though the graphics are really dated nowadays.

Looking Glass was really a great studio...

Edit: danm, seeing the screenshopts makes me far to nostalgic... who needs fancy graphics anyway... as long as the UI works (this is something where some old games annoy me nowadays)

Just wanted to add this: http://www.incgamers.com/Features/162/terra-nova-retrospective/1

I totally forgot about the tree-kill counter :D
