Potzato: You really shouldn't put that much spoilers in your posts everyone, even between 'labels'. This story is probably the most spoilt in the universe. It's just a thread about the preview, not even about the actual show itself.

Thanks for the link btw :)

monkeydelarge: Ok I deleted the spoilers from my posts.
Thanks from the guys who would have been more curious than wise :)
SPOILER:

Lots of "important" characters will die!

And none of them Lannister :(
Daaaaaamnnn yooouuuuu!!! Don't do this to me! 06/04/2014 is too far away!
Uhm... I still haven't finished season 3 :/ Somehow I got annoyed by the "mature theme" of the series, which HBO translated to tits, pussies and sex scenes in Littlefinger's brothels -.- I have nothing against nudity, don't get me wrong, I love nude women. But in my opinion they overdid it to a point, where it isn't "mature" anymore. There's barely an episode without nudity. Just look at Ros for example. Her character was created for the TV series (= she is not in the books) and her role essentially is to walk around naked...

The books are great. I even bought them in English to get the unaltered experience (the translation sucks big time!). But the TV series... I don't know. There are some very well played characters (Jaime, Brienne, Jon, Tyrion, Sansa, Joffrey, ...), but somehow it's losing me due to the way HBO is presenting it (there's more than the overdone nudity, but I can't even name it precisely).

The only thing I don't mind is the violance because battles like this are supposed to be bloody and brutal.

I wish I read the books aswell, but I don't know where to find a book store here (Borders is shut down sadly) unless they sell books in Walmart or something.

Nergal01: Ah, yes. It's that time of the year again. Last year's season on Blu-Ray at the end of march and the new season on TV in April. Good times, good times. :D
You can get the Blu-Rays from Amazon.co.uk in mid-February. It's also cheaper, looks nicer and comes with an exclusive Bonus-Disc - really no reason to buy the German version, except if you really, really need the German dubbing.

And yet, if you think a character is "safe" expect that character to die :))

Good call. I might just do that. I watch the show exclusively in English anyway.

anjohl: I will tell all of you what I tell anyone who is a "fan" of Game of Thrones. If you have not read the books, do so before watching the corresponding season. You cannot go back and un-picture the characters as the actors in the show, and while the show is well done for what it is, you cannot even comprehend how much better the books are.
This is an untold rule in this area, I really can't remember a movie/tv show better than the book it come from? Perhaps you know one, do you?
I'm looking forward to it. I hope they keep less amount of separate story arcs than in Season 3, too much was spread thin over the course of that season.

Hmm. Good question. Maybe "A History of Violence"?

Oh! I didn't read the graphic novel (I'm right?) so can't opine.
there are still 2 books left and it seems the series will catch up and exceed???
I'm hyped for the next season but don't want to see the video since its too early.
