You can find most of this stuff in Apple's TOS.
So the question is why do people agree to something like this?

Because they never bother reading the terms of service.

However, this is not the first (and most certainly not the last) time people "discover" that apple is loggin it's users activities.

A) They don't know it's in the TOS because they don't read it.
B) They don't care.

Now, anyone up for guessing why Google collected wireless data? No, not the "accidentally" collected data traffic, but the WiFi networks nodes? :)

Apple have never really interested me, personally. Even doing graphic design work it's always been with PCs.

I have nonetheless observed them ecoming increasingly repugnant since they've switched focus to shiny, featureless toys. Steve Jobs' hypocrisy over the iTunes DRM didn't exactly make me fall in love with the company either.

But yeah, not my problem.

Pretty creepy, but also sort of expected.

'Hates' their customers? Nah, they love them so much that they never want to lose track of them!

Unless you're an attorney there's little point in reading them as companies often times slip things in that aren't enforceable. The real problem is that most states allow them to get away with it.

At Apple we love our customers. To death.

True. But unfortunately in practice there isn't a lot of difference between the agreement being legally enforceable and the state siding with the corporation regardless. It's just a matter of where the corruption is and how widespread it is.
