I've been eye-balling these kinds of games for ages. (I mean rogue-likes/learn-as-you-die). Have never tried one. This looks really intriguing.

I got hooked on it and play 3-4 rounds every time I can spare some free time for myself. All events are random so you can't really plan too much in advance. There are some helpful things to do which are useful in every playthrough (like upgrading shields early) but you really need to be able to adapt to bad or good luck or your choices. Can't wait for the full game :D

You have a demo version on onlive, only 30 minutes play time allowed but enough for a quick fix when nobody's looking at work XD
Seems like kickstarter is popular these days with Schafer and even Fargo putting projects on it :)

Unfortunately, the demo for FTL is only on OnLive. Still, the game looks very promising, so I've decided to support it on Kickstarter.

yeah, it's probably the only game I can play on onlive without serious problems XD it thinks my internet is very slow lol

oooh and luck is very important, I had a great playthrough where I pwned all ships, upgraded shields to lvl 3 and managed to singleshot a rebel elite frigate, but the rest weren't so stellar XD
Love it how you get desperate in the battle, micromanaging the crew and power balance, awesome concept, it will be one of the games I'll play the most after it's release :)

Looks REALLY interesting. Shame it's only on OnLive, because it won't run on my internet connection, and I wanna play it badly.
