I used to think that computer science books publishers made the ebook version of their books DRM-free (I've dealt with at least 5 publishers who have done so).
Not anymore.
First off, I already owned the physical book and those guys were charging the exact same price for the ebook version with no rebate if you own the physical version (something O'Reilly does).
Ok, I liked the book, referenced it often so I wanted to have a pdf version on my laptop and was prepared to forego the minor offense, especially since it was stated that the book was DRM-free.
But then, I get redirected to the Canadian version of the web site and find out the ebook is laden with DRM and a limit of 4 downloads (for 4 devices basically).
Is there a more blatant way to say fuck you to your customer?
Guess I'm boycotting Wrox now.
