Well it finally happened

After months of using a shitty wooden desk which cost 20 Euros I finally managed to upgrade

I found a warehouse in my city which sells used furniture and liquidated stock from Companies/Offices/Showrooms etc and in there I bought a Glass table which was previously used in Showrooms and for company presentations, the table itself is worth over 1000 Euro, it's 2 meters long and essentially the thing is a gigantic piece of thick glass with metal legs - you know, like the ones you see in fancy Office receptions?

That's the one I got, the thing was incredibly heavy and when I got it delivered It was a bitch dragging it up the stairs to my place.

I also bought a brand new chair and gave away my 5 Euro shitty wooden chair.

After talking to the people who worked in the warehouse, apparently the chair that I purchased was previously used in an Amazon callcentre, it's awesome and extremely comfortable

Sorry if this seems like a blogpost, I'm just very, very happy that I finally upgraded, when I sit in front of my PC now I feel like I'm in an almost completely new Dimension, a completely new world

So I guess to make this topic interesting: What kind of Desk and Chair do you have for your PC?

Let us know by leaving your comments about that

P.S: If I can, I'll upload pictures of the whole thing next week :)
I have neither a chair nor a desk for my PC, so my back and ribs hurt after 30 minutes of use.
Actually, I do have a chair but since the monitor's on the floor...

I've only put the computer back in use a couple weeks ago after almost a year of keeping it unplugged, and meanwhile my old desk has turned into sort of a safe zone for keeping dangerous baby food glass jars away from my toddler's reach.

Did I mention that ugly little jumping critters roam around where the computer's now at? :p

Gratz on your new desk and chair -- I think I know how proud you feel about them. Hopefully I can get some nice ones within the year!

wow, didn't expect a reply like that

Why are you so excited about this? did you work in Amazon at one time or something? :p
I'm happy for you but I still think you over did it.

NOTE: Sad thing is the first game he played with this stuff was Zork.

You've described the chair and the desk but what about the rest of your throne room? Are you on the throne right now?
I just moved and I now use a small old dining table, which is actually really good because it's deep. Lot's of room for my 27" monitor and I don't have to sit too close to it. With all this room I might upgrade :D
I have been using a cheap desk and sitting on cheap chairs for years. A very bad decision. Save money on your PC, games or other tech gadgets, those will be outdated in a few years anyway, but a good desk and a good chair will last you decades. You can replace old tech any time, but your spine is irreplacable.

They are located in Cork

I think they still have some of those Amazon chairs left which I described in my opening post...
...glass tables...

The-Business: ...glass tables...
OUCH!
Thank god all of our tables are oak and or black forest. Not that it matters if you slip on something and now that I think about it, at least the glass table broke whereas a black forest coffee table won't give at all and you are likely to suffer a smashed skull as opposed to just some facial lacerations. Okay forget what I said. :D

Damn, I was in feckin Kinsale last week >.<

Thanks for the heads up :)
Here I was thinking he got a new toilet bowl. Maybe, put in a flat screen and a PC for the times when you didn't have enough fiber in your diet.
Hmmm, throne room means something different in Ireland.

Congratz on the new desk - Makes me think of when I got my current Desk:

At least 20 years ago - My wife found an old Metal Desk on the side of the road (One of the old heavy metal desks) - Well made and made to last. She got the kids to help her load it in the van took it home and hid it in the garage. Spent months sanding and repainting (without my knowledge) and gave it to me for my Birthday. Still using it to this day. I love it.
