What do you mean by that or are you just being a jokester?
Just eat some garlic and they'll go away.

F*** I ran out of garlic making the garlic bread, wait will that still work?
Squeeze out some lemon and everything will be all right! =D

(no no, don't do this)

Nope. You need to actually eat garlic raw.
Look at the bright side - now you don't have to have someones hands thrust into your mouth nor have to have your mouth jabbed with a needle, then drilled, then filled or anything. Instead you have a week or two with an annoying sore which should heal itself up or which you can put creams or something over (I tend to find listerine mouthwash kills most stuff off as well).

In other medical news -- - I've got a blocked ear and the darned supermarket sells everything but ear drops :(

Hmm, that reminds me, I really should head off the the pharmacy to see about getting ear drops. Perhaps they have some sort of ancient Chinese cure for earwax build up.

Supermarket: MWAHAHAHAHA
Poor old people with their old people problems...

:)
The helpful nurse side of me wants to offer help :(

You can try to rinse your mouth with warm sea salt water. Enough to make it taste like tears. It helped my lip piercing which was very raw and sore with a stud and is helping heal it fast now that I have a ring.

As for the ear wax; my son is going through that now. Pediatrician said to use 1/2 warm water to 1/2 hydrogen peroxide. I use a medicine syringe to drop it in but a cotton ball or Q-tip can work too. Leave it in a bit and put a cotton ball in to catch the crap that comes out. Works like a charm and cheap.

Hope you guys feel better!

Edit: For ear wax, you can try this if you're ballsy. It's using a candle... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCT2MuvbcrY

Ah finally a thread about mouth ulcers, we don't call them canker sores over here. I normally just put some toothpaste on it for some reason it chills the pain. If I'm feeling real frustrated, I just squeeze it till the pain becomes numb.
The most horrible ones are normally on the back of your tongue at the side.

There's a novocaine-type spray-on anesthetic that you can get OTC for those, it helps quite a bit when the sore is at its worst.
