It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hey I was wondering if anyone has come across this installation error with Freespace 2. I started my download last night and woke up this morning and found this error...
C:\Users\sauron\Downloads\setup_freespace_2(2).exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
What does this mean? What steps do I need to take to correct it?
Did you download with the downloader or browser? The downloader is a bit notorious for going horribly wrong.
apparently a corrupt download, did you use GOG's downloader or your browser?
Yeah, this sounds more like a download error rather than installation error...
I did not use the downloader. I downloaded via my firefox browser.

are you sure that the connection didn't reset itself and that the download completed?
i know it sucks but you'll have to redownload it, if you want you can try out the downloader, so you can pause and resume the download in the case you have a jumpy connection.
I started to download it again and I left the room for about 30 minutes. When I came back it was the same thing. Somehow the download failed even though I have a solid internet connection and just for note I am NOT wireless.
Is it possible that its an issue when I leave the computer idle?
Please don't post GOG tech issues in the general forum...=/

If your computer is set to go to sleep, you could have a problem with it being interrupted.
