Gilou: One of my biggest fear is to loose all the content of my EHDs.

Titanium: That's why backing up everything you regard as critical is a smart thing to do. I use the simple yet effective "copy everything to an external drive once a month".
That's hella difficult and time consuming though to copy a few things here and there. I'd rather just image the windows files or even the entire drive if I ever did it. That way I can reload the OS if it gets damaged and go from there. Hmm. I wonder if that'd be a good option over copying everything?(Windows folder and subfolder backup I mean)

Most of the time when the system does get damaged in various ways I only get to where the OS won't fully load or work properly and besides saves I don't hold a permanent attachment to anything on my system.

Fantasysci5: Thanks everyone for the welcomes! :)

I'll be picking the winner tonight.

And Gilou-My friend suggested I install a different Operating System on my computer, cvalled Umbuntu, and then the new OS could read it, so I transferred all of the files onto my friend's harddrive, then reformatted mine and put it all back on my own.
Install Ubuntu and you won't be able to play your games anymore without extensive work.

I just copy my critical files, not all of them. These are mostly my college pdf textbooks and projects, personal files and projects and some things I just don't want to loose. Everything comes close to 300 gigs, so all in all it doesn't take that long to put on an external USB drive. Everything else I can easily replace if it gets deleted, and I backed up my GOG games on my dad's computer so they are redundant (even if we somehow loose both disks, I can still redownload... so far).
Wow, you are great!

I'd like Might & Magic 8.
Serious Sam: The second encounter
Alrighty.

Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
Nice of you to do this! If I can still enter, I would choose The Last Express.

Actually, Ubuntu comes with the option of dual installing if you run the installation through windows. I should know, my former laptop had a dual install of Windows 7 and Ubuntu :p
It's very nice of you to do this. Congrats on recovering the contents of your drive - I know how terrible it can be to lose your data.

I'd love to be considered for the draw, and Guilty Gear X2 #Reload is my choice.
Rayman Forever!
=]
Fantasy! The adventuregamers camp on gog just doubled it's numbers ;P

Should I be the lucky one, Realms of The Hunting tops my wishlist at the moment.

Fantasysci5: Umbuntu
That made me think of this, which incidentally is being relaunched in the UK!

Glad to hear that Ubuntu (or Linux in general) saved the day for you! Don't forget to thank your friend Gilou. You have a good friend indeed! *two thumbs up*

if it is not too late I would like fallout 2.
I'd like Fallout 2 as well if I win.
Mop-Heya, a familiar face! Can't pick favorites, however. ;)

Tarangwydion-Actually, I was replying to Gilou, who asked what I did. It was my friend Brian that suggested it. :)

And the contest is closed! I'll be pulling the lucky number from a hat! :D
