It doesnt work in Chile.
Doesn't work in the US. Not that I'm surprised, mind you, but I figured I might as well check.

ET3D: Still wrestling with my conscience on this one. Seems to me like they didn't intend for this to happen.
Of course it's intentional. They are just trying to attract new customers to their shop. It's a very old trick.

Doesn't seem to work in Spain, btw.

you're wrestling with what? :D
Sounds like they've made the same mistake that EA made with Origin recently by using a universal promo code. Seems like they've cancelled it now.
I think the fact that anyone can create multiple account it's a marketing move like the EA one of two weeks ago.

of course, agree completely! 10 eur is nothing for them and it might generate additional sales for them so it's win/win situation
It doesn't really work in Belgium: do to having two important languages, the site is stuck at the language choosing page. Does anyone have a way to get a way around this?

Are you using adblock or noscript or something? It worked for me, I had to click on both "Netherlands" and "Holland" during the order.

In English:

"Due to the Youth Protection Act, some titles are only available between 10pm and 6am. You cannot acquire this product between 6am and 10pm. However, you can place it in your shopping basket and buy it later."

This is why digital distribution will never really take off in Germany. Origin pulls this shit too.

Edit: Although I DID manage to add the same game as a disc copy and pay for just the shipping. Nice :)
I could see this reaction by a lot of people:
"I don't want to wait X hours!" -heads to the pirate bay and gets it right now-

Anyway, Ubisoft games aren't worth it, even if free.
I give up. Some hours ago the site told me I can't buy Prince of Persia because of youth protection (which doesn't make any sense), two hours ago the whole catalogue of downloadable games didn't show up at all (no results), now that the catalogue is there again, the promo code doesn't work any longer.

Great site, Ubisoft, very professional...
It doesn't work here. Oh well. You enter it as a promo code, right?
Just out of curiosity, where did the promo code come from?
The code no longer works.

I'm not convinced. It's very easy to attract new customers by giving away games for free. Green Man Gaming does it quite often, and advertises it on the front page, so does GOG and many other stores when they run such promotions. Why hide it? I could find this coupon code nowhere but on posts about it. I can easily see this as a coupon intended to have a minimal purchase required which by mistake didn't have it. Sure, the alternative is also possible, but I'd feel bad taking advantage of this if it's a mistake.
Well, it worked fo me: I have been able to "buy" the Danse Macabre DLC for Heroes of Might & Magic VI.
