A game which may be worth waiting for. it is a puzzle platformer, but the premiss seems very original and the artwork is gorgeous. One of the members of the team is the level designer of the brilliant and it is the successor of the equally good [url=http://thefourthwallgame.com/?page_id=80]The Fourth Wall

The elevator pitch:
"Four Sided Fantasy is a puzzle platformer about thinking beyond the borders of the screen. By freezing the screen, players can fold space with screen wrap to solve impossible problems. Players take the role of a businessman insistent on breaking out of his seemingly endless office life. After being sent on a business trip to a small town, something seems off. Players will explore the eerily beautiful world of Four Sided Fantasy to find the truth. Four Sided Fantasy is slated for a tentative release date on PC in early 2015."

There is not much information yet, but what is there looks very intriguing. There seems to be a Kickstarter coming soon.

While the game does look mildly interesting, that trailer is absolutely horrible.

Agree, I hope it is only due to lack of content at the moment.
Yep, that was a terrible trailer o_o
First time I get seasick watching a video.

I guess I should have turned on the speakers or maybe working at 4 am is starting to affect me.
Hey there. I'm the lead designer on Four Sided Fantasy. Thanks for posting about the game, amok! Just wanted to drop in and let you all know that the Kickstarter page is now live. It seems that I can't post links with this account, but the website for the game now has a link to the Kickstarter page.

Like I said, the game looks interesting, but the trailer needs work. The constant repetition of the same couple of clips makes it seem like that is all the game will have to offer. Also, the speeding up and fast cuts towards the end makes me feel like I have an epileptic seizure coming on, and I'm not even an epileptic.

Firstly - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lofi/four-sided-fantasy-a-game-about-the-limits-of-the

the link posting is an anti-spammer device, you need to have a certain amount of rep before you can post links.

The game concept is intriguing (I liked The Fourth Wall :)) and the art is gorgeous, but the trailer do need some work. As it stands it is a bit empty, and the repetitions of the few screens going fast and faster actually works against it for me - I like my puzzler platformers to be slow and thoughtful, not hectic.

Other than that - good luck!
Thank you for the feedback on the trailer, everyone. I fill a lot of roles on the game, and that includes editing the videos. I am always looking to improve, so I will keep your comments in mind as we continue with development of the game.

If you feel that the trailer doesn't show much, I encourage you to check out the Kickstarter video on the page linked above. It shows more footage and gives some more details about the game.

I actually didn't appreciate your trailer until I read your kickstarter page. I understand why you edited it in this kind of choppy and jarring style, because it reflects the gameplay to some extent. That is, you can flip between perspectives to hop across a frame. Until I understood this, though, I dismissed these gameplay elements in your trailer as editing style. So it came across as a very basic platformer.

What I'm saying is, the trailer is not very illustrative until you're already a bit familiar with the game. I don't dislike it, though.

Lots of luck!
