Gazoinks: I must play this.
I would recommend it, it falls under the category of cheese that many FMV games fall under but this one is pretty good. The cheesy acting and the awesome atmosphere of it all makes it great in my opinion.

JudasIscariot: I'll tell you that one of the worst FMV games ever created was Night Trap :D. There was even a Congressional or Senate committee about that game :D
CONFIRMED Night Trap is coming to GOG soon.

But yes, Night Trap is the game that started the controversy surrounding violent games. Night Trap isn't that bad, it's a pretty funny cheesy horror game. The only issue is that it's designed at trial and error. It's considered a cult classic nowadays, and used copies are really expensive on ebay. I would love to see it on GOG, even if Night Trap isn't really a good game, at least it's historically important.

For games with live-action FMV between gameplay sequences, it's either Command & Conquer [insert your favourite ones here (unless it's Generals)] or WIng Commander 3/4/Priv2.

For games with live-action elements in gameplay, it's between the later Tex Murphy games and Gabriel Knight: 2. Maybe Toonstruck.
Does "Space Ace" count, with all its glorious 8+ minutes of gameplay (sorta)?

I still have the DVD version somewhere, completed the coin op version too on "Hard" maybe a couple million of times.
Shameless Bump.

ucfalumknight: I thought the entire C&C line was made better because of the incorporation of FMV.
The early games, yes, but later iterations became way to cheesy. At first it was just a bunch of talking heads acting serious, then it devolved into ridiculously attractive women issuing commands from a laser tag parlours.
I will mention two more games, one from GOG and the other isn't.

*The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time. Great game that polishes the formula from the previous games.

*Black Dahlia. The other Take-2 FMV game, the first one being Ripper mentioned earlier.

Of the more 'recent' sort, there's the remastered Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective series (first three have been released on Desura so far).

And the "DNF of adventure games", 10 years in the making, with 13 hours of footage - Darkstar.

Can't pick a fave, blindly love them all. So please vote for more glorious FMV:
Black Dahlia
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective
Darkstar
Night Trap (you know you want it!)
The Black Dahlia.

That is all.
These games deserve some love;

When I first proposed the question, I didn't put much thought into cut scenes or game play. I kind of lumped them together. But with my two original choices, I would assume it would have to be game play. There have been some awesome mentions here. I think Space Ace, Dragons Lair, and Kingdom of the Far Reaches would have to be omitted. The Crusaders series had some good FMV sequences as well.
