Haaa, I discovered this just today: Stronghold 3 is scheduled for release in 2011. And they still have that free MMO in development, called Stronghold Kingdoms.

Firefly Studios sent me a friend request on youtube for no reason a few months ago. Then I saw their trailer for Dungeon Hero. Looks awesome.

Yeah it looked interesting. But I don't know the current status of this game, maybe it was put on hold because of the lack of a publisher before/or it got cancelled.
My guess is that it's on hold. IIRC, in the past their games were published by 2K Games, now they signed a deal with SouthPeak Games; so there may be still a chance for this game, but only after Strongold 3.

That's because a retail drm-free edition was released last year, and they must have copy-pasted the damn text. I care about the pack's price only, anyway.

Yep, it's a ripoff. Stronghold Crusader: Extreme is just Stronghold Crusader with a greatly increased unit cap and some new missions.
Stronghold 2 isn't as good as the original (and much more mindboggingly complex, leading to some of the most unforgiving gameplay this side of japanese arcade shooters), and Stronghold Legends is a weak attempt to transfer Stronghold into a fantasy setting.

Stronghold and Crusader are the best two, no doubts about it.
I got excited with the Extreme announcement, but they didn't even bothered to add high resolutions for it, even 1280x720/800 would be good.
