The first F.E.A.R. is a decent enough game. I wouldn't call it scary, though, because it relies heavily on jump scares.

The sequels are some of the worst games that I have ever played, definitely in my top 10 shitty games list.
I felt it was worth it when I got them for cheap. As for scary I'm not so sure other than jump scares where suddenly something is where it wasn't. I do remember a crate area in one of the expansions I think that got me worried but that was more "Is this going to kill me because I can't react fast enough?"

Spoilers, potentially:
The lack of feeling scared might have to do with the fact I read up on the game before I got around to buying it and knew some of the background. When the character that is supposed to scare you pops up and your response is to follow her because you feel sorry for her it removes a lot of tension. I think I died at least once in most of the games seeing if my character could give her a hug. XD
Does the Fear Complete Pack from Gamersgate include the expansions?

You prove with your comments again and again that you don't really know much about video games ;-)
