hey all
Wondering what everyone's favorite apps are these days on Android? (mainly use a phone not tablet)
For me :

Android Assistant
Aquamail
Atlas+ (for 4.x)
Appy Geek
Beyond Pod
Camera Zoom FX
Drippler
Foldersync
Holo Launcher (for 2.3.6)
Kitty Play (until its recent flood of Go Launcher bs)
Naked Browser
Opera Mobile/Mini/Classic (NOT any of the 20.x versions)
Pixlr Express
Poweramp
QuickPic
SD Maid
Skype (unfortunately haven't found a decent alternative aside from Viber for calls that friends actually use)
Solid Explorer
Smart Launcher
Solo launcher (for 4.x)
Super Backup (i actually prefer this over My Backup Pro and Titanium...)
VLC for Android
Weatherzone
Whatsapp

Not much for games but I occasionally try

Any Kemco rpgs
Any Cory Trese rpgs
Pixel Dungeon (or Shattered Pixel Dungeon)

Amazon Appstore (for free apps)
AppSales (for tracking price drops)

AGS (Adventure Game Studio) is a current favourite simple because I'm using it to play Blackwell Deception.

Lots of other stuff installed but I'm not using much of it. I'm mostly gaming, sometimes reading using the Kindle app or Comixology or one of its derivatives (Marvel/DC).
If I have to pick only one Android app:

MapFactor Navigator

I'd probably use HERE Maps, but my current old Android phone (Huawei U8800) doesn't have 1GB RAM that HERE navigator requires. MapFactor works pretty ok on it, and uses free OpenStreetMaps. I dislike Google Maps as it relies so much on internet connectivity, it has left me on the road without navigation many times. To heck with it.

Other than that, for video files either VLC or or MX Player. I haven't made up my mind yet which I like more, for now I use both.

An extremely useful app for people living in or visiting Polish cities:
jakdojade.pl

It automatically finds optimal public transport connections and displays the whole route on a map. It's hard for me to imagine that I used to be able to get around without their website+app.
Map My Hike
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mapmyhike.android2

Walking Routes Ireland
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.walkingroutes.beta01
BattleScribe - for creating Warhammer / 40K army lists

Games:
Fiz
Pixel Dungeon
Angry Birds Epic
Shadowrun Returns
Game Dev Story
Knights of Pen and Paper
Cyanide and happiness

The kairosoft games

And pixel dungeon.
By the way my kids really like The Enchanted Cave.
Facebook.
Twittter.
Shazam.
Google Sky Map.
Wikipedia.
DeviantART just released an official app last week.
DuoLingo, for practicing my Spanish. (And coming soon: Esperanto!)
TED, the YouTube for smart people. ;)
Air Quality Asia - Number 1 app for anyone living in China.
