Almost looks like Crysis... and yeah, this is the original Far Cry.

That's some amazing work put into a 2004 game, even if it still doesn't look as detailed as Crysis. Looking very very nice, I might be compelled to fire up my game again when this is released.

That's one hell of an overhaul! Okay so it's mostly just Crysis assets ported over. But those are still some impressive results.

I will certainly try this out. Modders never fail to amaze me. From the texture mods in Dragon Age to the full overhauls in Fallout 3 and now this.

Looks swanky, shame that the AI will probably be the same and treat you as in or out of a bush and thats all. Oh and there'll still be trigens no doubt which is what really ruined far cry for me

I think it fixes quite a lot bugs, and it has some AI improvements. Maybe its something you're looking for? (personally, I'm waiting for that mod to get done, and then to play the game (I have several other games to finish first, so I'm not rushing)).

Yup it's a nice looking mod. But, IIRC, it's just a graphics update without bug fixes.

What I really would like is to play Far Cry but ported on the Crysis engine version. There's one or two mods doing this conversion... too bad that Crytek does not allow to use the assets, so these mods won't get finished.
