Hey all. Some time ago, I registered this domain ( obviously) in order to do a fansite about gog.com. The initial goal was to add value to gog.com by extending the available services with unofficial ones (like it has been done with [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_suggestion_list/page1]this wishlist - it's offline now). However, with gog adding many features in its official website (here), I've ran out of ideas about the possible content for fangog.com.

So, here is the point: the domain will expire in approximately one month. Does anyone have interesting ideas we could implement there? Or should I just give up?

Well, Xyem was talking earlier about setting up a secure trading site for GOG games. Perhaps that could be done with this domain?

The gogwiki adds some extra value to GOG but apart from this I don't have any good ideas for fan sites for GOG.

Actually, at start, I (we?) wanted to do a unofficial client, like the one of steam, supporting chat, achievements, etc. But then we tried to reach gog to see if they liked the idea, and they politely answered that we could not use the API key, and that it was for internal usage only. So we didn't try to get any farther with that idea. Even if it's technically possible (and legally borderline), we don't want to annoy/harm gog in any way.

Now, about the social networking websites... Well, to me (and maybe some others), the whole idea behind a centralized resource (website) for social exchanges is PLAIN WRONG. Internet is a decentralized technology (in the sense that everyone is able to serve content to anyone), and I don't think we will gain anything from making it a centralized one, by far.

So to make a long story short, we considered the idea, and felt like it wasn't the good way to do it.

Still, we're open to ideas, and discussion. Especially during this month (given it won't cost me extra money to have the domain for this month). :)
