Hey guys. Had something interesting come up today.
This morning, CA Antivirus alerted me that my Fallout 2 installer from GOG contained the trojan Win32/Adclicker.JO and deleted it. A subsequent scan of the Fallout 1 installer did the same thing.
I later re-downloaded it and had my brother scan the file with BitDefender Antivirus, which had no problem with it, so it's pretty obviously a false positive. CA has a little bit of a history of being overzealous, including seeing MSN Messenger as some form of malware a few months ago, and there'll probably be an update soon to rectify this. :)
I don't know if it just has a problem with the Fallout series or all GOG installers, so in the meantime, if you happen to use CA Antivirus, you might want to tell the real-time scanner to ignore whatever folder you have your GOG installers in. :)
