So, September 2010 it is. What are you guys expectations on this game?
Today, racing games is the only thing that Codemasters does right IMO. Hope they succeed on this one.

Aren't racing games the only thing Codemasters does anyway?
I haven't played a decent F1 game in ages, I'm hoping it won't suck.

They did a thing called OFP: Dragon Rising, well-received... and uh, published some successful games, Damnation, Overlord, ... yeah.
I hope Bodycount doesn't suck too much, too. :)
Im totally gunna drive as Hispania Racing! :P

Surely Virgin Racing is a better choice, didn't they design their fuel tank based on an incorrect fuel mix, meaning they can't finish a race?

Very true, but Hispania we're a late entry if i remember so they didn't have a working car till the first race or something. It'll be either one i think!
It will use GFWL on PC. What a shame, I won't buy it.

Racing games are best on the consoles anyway. Looks like a game I'll be getting for the 360.

The only thing they do consistently well. Everything else is in the region of Quite Good to Stark Bollocking Terrible. And of course they never ever patch games. Ever.
Well, maybe once, but that was just the developers sneaking a patch out there before Codemasters could bring down the Jackboot of Supportlessness.

I don't have any console. So PC is my only option but with GFWL I won't buy it at the release. Maybe I will buy it for $19.99 or so later.

Does GFWL even support Turkey? Only they don't seem to support... most of the world's populace.

No, it doesn't support Turkey and because of this I hate GFWL. :) They are supporting only 26 countries in the world since 2006 and they are saying we are expanding on it. LOL 4 years has been passed but they are still supporting 26 countries. I hope GFWL will die.

I'm amazed it hasn't already. Especially considering it gave some games install limits that weren't wanted by the publisher. I'd have thought they would have dropped it like a stone.

Only F1 2010 game is using GFWL this year. Mafia 2 will not use it, Fallout: New Vegas won't use it. I think publishers are learning GFWL is a disease except Codemasters. Sorry for turning this thread to GFWL bashing thread BTW. :)

Codemasters Racing Pack, for $17.50: their racing games are currently on sale, if anyone is interested, on steam:

I didn't knew of the GFWL adoption until the other day, when I read it at the bottom of their site. :(
Seeing it bundled with GFWL really dropped my interest in acquiring this game, really. And as Navagon said, Codemasters really don't care much about patches and community. They dropped support and patching for OFP: Dragon Rising just after a few months after release.
I don't know, but maybe their financial situation isn't the best in the market to stay independent-like, so they partnered with the GFWL brand, another welcome thing from Microsoft (Today I just got banned somewhere, by saying that I'm sorry for Alan Wake being only for the Microsoft console platform, and wishing not so good sales for them hehehe, Oh they really want the PC market to flourish, reallyyy).
I feel bad for devs going this route, like Codemasters and Remedy E.. Die GFWL, thanks.
