Will GoG have an external installer/player like steam? or do i have to jump on the internet every time i want to DL my games?

You download installer for a game to your HDD and you can install it from there how many times you wish... No need to be connected to the internet after download is complete, ever...
Downloader is coming. :)

well, what if i reformat? that will cause me to have to connect to the internet..
but i'm more or less talking about how an external player (such as steam) has all of your information in it when you log in, and you can DL without having to log onto the site first.
its quite handy that way, but it seems like thats the kind of thing they are trying to stay away from..
So as that goes, does that meant that once i DL it, i can burn it to disk, and just use that to install? so long as i use a Key? is that about right?
The new downloader app will still require you to connect to the GOG website, I think. All it does is give you more options for downloading, like a pause/resume function.
And yeah, they are trying to stay away from the whole Steam aspect of things. They want to make it simple and a lot of people don't like having an extra program running in the background and taking up resources when they don't need it.
But yes, once you've downloaded the setup file for your game, you can burn it to disk and install it later with that same file. You don't need a key for it and it won't connect to the Internet to activate or any crap like that. Just store it somewhere and use when needed. :)
