I have Cognition episodes 1,2 and 3 from 2 sources, Desura and Post Studios, how can i get them all to have one save file. I can start 1 and 2 in Desura, but if I start Ep. 3 how will it know where to find the Desura save file?

Hope this makes sense, I dont want to get to the end of Ep. 2 and find out my save file is no use for Ep. 3.

Thanks for any help :)

Does it read the data from your previous episode playthrough? I thought it just goes on, no matter what you do.
If you want, I can check (I downloaded stand-alone 1 and 2 from Desura and 3 directly from POS).

Nah dont bother mate, the d/l ffrom Post keeps crapping out on me (thats why they gave me Desura codes), but Desura wants to charge me for the third episode (I should have a season pass).

Sent a mail to Desura tech, see if they can sort it out.

Have some rep for your help though, much apreciated :)

Thanks :) If you're looking for tech \ shopping support, contact POS - those guys are great and VERY customer-oriented.

Yeah it was them that got me the Desura version of the game, but I dont want to bother them again, if Desura tech is a bust I'll just get it when it is all fully released.

Thanks for the help :)
I love Phoenix Online, they really do care about their customer's happiness. I know you may not want to "bother" them again, but if you are having problems, it's possible others are too, and it would be good they are aware you're having issues so they can rectify the problem and find ways to fix the issue so future customers don't run into the same issue. :)
Just BTW, I went through my Cognition folders and data structure is exactly the same for Desura standalone installer version and POS store installer version.
Couldn't find save files anywhere, but they should be in the same place for both :)

Well, I got the game free so I dont want to feel like a whinger, the last person that helped me in Post was the technical director' and I'm sure he has more to be doing than dealing with my problems with Desura. I'll wait for Desura tech, see what they are like to deal with, if they dont sort it out, I'll just deal elsewhere. I think gog are getting it anyway, so probs be better for me to have all my games in in one place.

I never dealt with Desura that I can remember, so I dont really know if they are any good.

Thanks for the reply :)

No worries, I bought the full season on their store site, but I am kind of hoping that they give out GOG codes for those who bought the season. I know they are giving away Steam codes when they get through Green Light, but if a choice is available I am so going GOG. Such a wonderful game series, and I love the game very much, the story line is very compelling. :)
