rooshandark8: Do well on these math ones, Because soon the contest is gonna be serious
Yep, that's for sure. I've never played Warhammer, so I'll probably have to sit that one out. Thanks though. That is an interesting idea.

Well, Its quite newbie friendly, and its not done yet, so no worries for now
Part 1: 18 correct +5 tickets extra for checking
Part 2: 20 correct +2 tickets extra for right answers
Part 3: 20 correct
Part 4: 19 correct
makes 385 tickets +7 extra tickets
total of 392 tickets
A quick reminder: If you checked your answers and reported how many you got wrong in Part 1, you get 5 extra tickets. Everyone gets full points for part 2, regardless of your answers, along with 2 extra tickets if you actually got them correct.

Part 1: 20 correct, -5 ticket penalty for being late, +5 for reporting: 100 tickets
Part 2: 20 correct, +2 for actually being right: 102 tickets
Part 3: 20 correct: 100 tickets
Part 4: 20 correct: 100 tickets
+20 for providing the list of winners from the previous contest.

So, 422 tickets for me.

The contest itself was fun; I've always enjoyed non-busywork math (seriously, fuck you, matrices). The progression of questions wasn't unreasonable, and even if you weren't familiar with the concepts (or had forgotten them *cough*), you could look up the basics on the internet and go from there.

As for the next round, the only things I know of Warhammer are being able to recognize a few things from Warhammer 40K. So I guess we'll just have to see?

Edited for forgetting about the checking in part 1.

I'm not sure I'm gonna bother counting mine. Adambiser was the compairison and I think I had a total of 7 questions different from his, so that means I would have 365 Tickets. I'm too lazy at the moment to go through and check.

Edit: Wait, everything in part 2 was counted as a full 100 tickets regardless of success? Then..... 6 wrong that count, 370.

Alrighty, Everything has been accounted to, and for taking part in round 1 of this contest
You all will get a few bonus tickets.
====================================================================================
Now, Something came up and i will be without my computer for a little bit so i wouldn't be able to post the second round in parts or do the Warhammer roleplay yet,
====================================================================================
So i decided that i will post all the parts of round 2 at once, will give you 7 days to finish it all
====================================================================================

There are 7 parts this time, and 1 bonus part.
So in total 8 parts,

I was going to save this one for the middle but all other rounds require my full on supervision, which i can't do
==================================================================================================

So Round 2 starts in a couple hours,
Details will be posted on the original post when i say Round 2 is up
============================================================================================================== ==============================
Sorry for not taking last turn.... hope i keep on..

It's fine :)
Though my advice make sure you take part in this one, Otherwise tickets wise your gonna fall behind.

Thanks for the advice... I will... ;p
Check Tomorrow same time as this post to see the whole list of questions.
I think your local timekeeping device(s) may not be in sync with everyone else's. ;b
Sorry for the delay guys & gals. My time machine experiment didn't work aswell as i hoped and when i decided to go back, it sent me a few days later than i hoped.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
So here's how round 2 will work.

There are 6 parts, 20 questions each.

All parts except 2 & 4 are going to work the same way as before Multiple choice.
As for Part 2 and Part 4 those parts are going to be worth bit more than the other parts.

Your gonna have to use a software called Math Type available here to show me the work *(Just use the trial)*, Do all the work in there and export it to Microsoft Word Than upload it to some media sharing website and post the link.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
So all the parts are going to be on the original post

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
And as for when your gonna have to submit all the work, You got 5 days.
My advice is to post your work as you go and than update that post or whatever you want.

Okay, I've got some questions: This program, is it worth trying to learn a program I won't use? I've used a couple of different math programs before, they're a pain to use if I could figure them out at all since they require input lines, output lines, names of each operator, the process specified and a line to run. Sometimes I can't even get it to run on something like polynomial integration.

Aside from that, I could type my work manually, the first set of questions doesn't look too difficult. But if someone is using the program, it's not like anyone is doing any actual hard work anyway, won't all the work just be coming from the program? There's no way to prove that I can see that we've actually been solving them ourselves or just guessing, it seems simpler just to go about the same way as Round 1, which is use what I've leaned to solve a majority of the questions and plug anything I don't know into Wolfram Alpha.

I don't mean to seem like a nag, but this is just overly complicated compared to what we've already done.

Give the software a try i guess, Just trying to give you guys some more ways to earn a couple extra tickets, and change the pace a little bit, Than we are shifting gears to something more interesting.
Are you guys stumped/stuck or something?
