I am a noob in rts and I am planning to try one, so which is better EE1 or EE2 ?
Both are good and differenet, but I'd say you should start with Empire Earth 1.
Both are good but also pretty hard and even unfair from time to time (cheating AI). So if you are a RTS noob you might want to start with something easier like CnC or Starcraft 2. But if not, then start with Empire Earth 1.
I'm not totally noob in rts because i played some rts before.I get easily bored in games that's why I want some thing that I can play for a long time.

Forget about Empire Earth, buy Sacrifice. You won't get bored with that one :P

No.

I would say Sacrifice is too weird to start your serious adventure with RTS games :P
I nearly trolled with a "What about Empire Earth 3" but didn't want to incite an angry mob. Mobs mean torches. Scary.

Either one will keep you going for a long long time.

Seriously? Screw that. If the AI cheats in Empire Earth 2 (Which is what I've also been thinking of getting), then I'd might as well not bother.
Tnx for the replies. Maybe I'll try empire earth 1 first.

Do it anyway. It rocks to win against a cheating AI.
Age of Empires 2. Problem solved :D

True AoE2 is a must-have, but EE1/2 is much more advanced... and available on GOG!

Get them all, and add Total Annihilation to the cart while you're at it.
Is there a big difference between ee1 and ee2?
So apparently, the AI does cheat - it just doesn't cheat as hard as it did in EE1. Well, as long as it doesn't affect scenario play I guess it's okay, but this means that single-player skirmish is simply out of the question for me.
