Sorry for your dog, I lost one this year, too. Although you know it'll end one day, you never get used to it.
Maybe you should consider giving another puppy a new warming home and the chance of a nice life.

Thanks I know its never easy. I've had dogs my whole life. It's the first time I've ever had a dog die during the holidays and dang its depressing. I only have the little one left and she gets depressed sometimes like I do with the big dog being gone. Hopefully when the timing is right I can find another dog companion for us both as I do know many out there need good homes....
