with Alice: Madness returns hitting retail in less than 2 weeks, can we see a gog.com release of the original Alice?
I was wondering the same thing. It's not among next week's releases, but it might be released in the same week as its sequel.

We already knows it's not one of the three next EA games, so if it's part of the deal in wont be here before August/September

It's too bad as it would have been a good marketing thing to have the original games released on GoG the same week than the sequel/reboot. (Especially as the game works fine on modern system and therefor doesn't need as much testing as other older ones)
Alice is an Origin exclusive it seems right now. They may simply only ever offer it on their service. Plus it works on modern hardware just fine so they don't need GOG to make their games work for them either. I sure hope not but I doubt Alice is party of the current 25+ or else they would have certainly released right now since as I said requires no tweaking.
I'm guessing that it will show up here later in the year. The main reason it wouldn't be released here before the new one is due to the fact that EA has already stated that the inclusion of the original Alice with Madness Returns (newer one) will be exclusive to their digital distribution service.
On a positive note, the fact that it was retooled for consoles and re-release on PC, and given the recent announcement of EA's back catalog coming here, I would say that pretty much guarantees it will show up here eventually.

Alice HD widescreen Intro for those interested.
I sure hope EA are not gonna keep old games as exclusives on their origin services. That would be a big detractor from the huge Joy of them starting up business with GOG.

As for their new service I wish them luck but tbh who wants to deal with yet another username, password, credit details and friends list. For me to really want to check out another digital gameshop it would need to actually carry a broader catalogue than the existing ones. The ones we already have are great, the only irritation is having to sing up for more to get the games I want. Exclusives only add to that irritation and I never ever change platform to get a exclusive.

The market for older games is heavily in GOG's favor,I hope EA wont' try to grab a piece of that and will keep GOG as their DD platform for the older classic titles.
Maybe eventually but I doubt it will be here soon, since the game will be included with Madness Returns on PS3, 36O, and EA DD. I don't EA would want that to possibly detract from the early sales of the new game.
It will be here. So will whatever else you're thinking about pleading for.

Anyone willing to buy it here wasn't getting Alice 2 anytime soon, I doubt it actually matters when they release it in regards to sales numbers for Alice 2.
McGee himself said he wants Alice available to anyone that wants to play it. Its his wish to make it available. Forcing people to buy the sequel to play the first one is not ideal. I assume its a planned release at some point as its a true classic and very much a "good old game"
I would LOVE to have the original Alice available to me in a digital format. Of course GOG would be my favorite way to have it (soundtracks and wallpaper and all to go with it) but I wouldn't be opposed to having it on Steam. I'm right there with you friend.
That would be sweet. Never played the first.. well.. I might buy it.
tonight I had a very vivid dream about Alice coming to GOG, I saw all the ads and facebook messages and everything... (probably because of my new wallpaper at home)

then I woke up and... nothing :(
