Hi!
I have a question, are there any games other then the fallout series with a similar dystopian/post apocalyptic theme about them?
After playing Fallout 3 i wanted to play the original games aswell (and was pleasantly surprised you could get them here at such a good price) and after so much fallout im just hooked on this dystopian setting.
Any similar classics i should be aware of, or newer games for that matter :p
PS: i know, i should be ashamed for having played fallout 3 before 1 and 2 ;-)

Arcanum *is* a good game, but it had some bugs. It stopped working when i entered the city i had to go for the main quest later in the game. But only if i entered that city, and only if i went far enough into it..
Still, i can only support lepidosteus post.
Aurion: follow wikipedia's link to the unofficial patch. It's still currently being updated (latest update being two days ago) and solve/fixes/add a lot of things.
One very obscure post-apocalyptic game I can't find anywhere in its original form is Visions of aftermath: Boomtown. It's a very 80s game, very simple, close to no sound effects, but still the best survival simulation I've ever played. It's realisitc, brutal, challenging and rewarding.
I found the game on more than one site, but none of the packages work properly (probably all came from Underdogs). The game breaks after some turns, all scenery disappears and you can't even go back to the shelter. Being so obscure I doubt this game'll ever make it into GOG (I can't recall any 80s game here anyway), so if anyone knows where to get it or has it, you'd be doing me a great favor in letting me know.
