Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. But does anyone else find it funny that just a few days ago TotalBiscuit made a video heaping praise on the Dungeon Keeper games, and now both of them are at the top of the GOG best sellers list? Haha.

I don't know, I just think it's kinda funny. Especially since I myself plan on buying those because of how good he made them look. I guess TB has more influence than I ever thought.

Sorry if this is a kinda pointless thread, I just needed to get my thoughts out.
It's the "Steam effect". And by that, I don't mean that this specifically has anything to do with Steam, just that It's the effect of hype in the PC gaming market. As soon as a major publication publicises something like this, everyone jumps on board. It's the same thing with Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound, Battlefield, Call of Duty and FIFA:

Notice, for example, how much attention has been lavished upon GOG since the media decided to start giving a shit about DRM. Now, all of a sudden, everyone is suddenly anti-DRM.

Compare this Eurogamer article about Football Manager requiring Steam from 2011, for example, and this article from late 2013 about The Witcher having no DRM. It's worth bearing in mind though that the Eurogamer community is one of the most fickle out there.

a cynical brit.
I know it's been said, and this may be a slight derailment, but it shouldn't be lost that the first two Dungeon Keepers (while older and suffering as such with regard to graphics) are really good games.

Although his viedo is directly about DK2 and he mentions GOG too It's not only him. Some other people mentioned GOG in reviews of new DK. Nerd3 in his video, Kotaku even with link here and I think I've seen it somewhere else too.
So Dungeon Keeper and GOG got quite an exposure thanks to new DK fiasco.

-1 for being serious and very un-tinyE-like. Admit it, bitch, you missed the downrepping!

Seriously, though, yeah, they are genuinely very good games, and I think a lot of people were reminded of this fact by the recent mobile game. The mentions of GOG by sites lke RPS certainly haven't hurt.

P.S. I didn't really downrep.

Oh yeah? YOU are old and suffering with regards to YOUR graphics!
Me, I just wanted to get the "true" Dungeon Keepers before EA did something really stupid like tell GOG they couldn't sell them anymore
