Hey all, I was wondering about what the state of duke nukem 3d is, these days. I mean, I'm considering buying the game, but I noticed that the size is only 27 mb, and that somehow doesn't feel right, since I like my old games to have the original cg sequences in them as well, and if duke nukem 3d doesn't have those, then it's a no-buy for me.
I have scoured the website, but I haven't found any posts that mention if duke nukem 3d has got the videos in them as well, so I was wondering if anyone has bought this game and can confirm or deny that this game has the movie sequences as well??
I may be showing off my ignorance here, but I don't recall there ever being any movie sequences in Duke Nukem 3D.
Neither do I recall them... only mostly-still-and-cartoon-like pictures at the ends of episodes.
There were one or two really short videos (like when Duke rips off a boss's head and poos down his neck).
Sorry, I haven't gotten around to playing anything more than MP Duke3d with the GoG version, so I can't confirm is this one has the neck-pooing awesome.
@Gundato
Yes, you are totally right, I was talking about those two sequences. After that boss fight on the football field, after he has defeated him he shoot his head off and shits down his throat, while reading a newspaper.
And the other one, where the colonel talks to you in a hotel or something like that and the extra missions start, After you have defeated the final boss or something.

The first one I can confirm is in the game. The second one I haven't yet seen, but I suppose it is in there.
BTW, the neck-pooping one is what I was talking about as almost a still picture, with cartoon-like movement.

The game, installed and complete from my CD copy is about 50 mb (a little less, actually). So don't worry, GOG's installer is certainly complete.
On a side note: all the assets from the game are stuck in a single file, if I'm not wrong.

HRP doesn't like Intel-based integrated video cards that pop up on some laptops. Speaking from experience here :P

Thanks for the tip, I was unaware of that. My ATI laptop has no trouble running it, glad you added that info here . . . =^ )

Let's just say that Intel and gaming are like oil and water.

If you're also talking about other hardware and not just GPUs, you're going to make half of the forum very angry.
That said, you're right about the oil part, seeing how oil is really expensive nowadays and is only good for polluting.

I am talking about their GPUs. Sorry, I should have made it clear in the first place. I had an Intel GMA965 chipset card in a laptop and the HRP would play for about 2 minutes then do a hard freeze involving me rebooting my comp.
