Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

My wallet it safe again..

Amnesia TDD is a great game though, everyone should try it. At night. Alone. In a dark room. With headphones. Greatness!

IAmSinistar: Amnesia at 90% off? You must get this now, my children.

Qtis: I'm kinda divided here. Personally the horror genre has not really hit me, but then again, Amnesia is highly acclaimed.. Though I did buy Witcher even though I already have it (digital download + support for CDP).

Amnesia, worth it or not? Any reasons for one or the other?
Worth it? I bought a copy and it's my second copy, furthest I get is the archives, then I go hide in a corner and cry until daylight.

So yes, very much worth it. You've got a clear hour to go though so you can go grab the demo from Frictional. :)
Amnesia is really great at the horror but it's not so great at the other stuff. So if you are a horror fan BUY IT, it's one of the best damn horror game ever. But if you aren't into horror games then there won't really be anything in it to appeal to you.

It's a great game, but you definitely want to enjoy being scared. If you don't, you should just pass, you won't like the game.

graspee: I think it's great how generous some of the members of gog are in gifting people games when they can't afford them or missed a sale but is anyone else uncomfortable with how this seems to have increased the numbers of people begging for games? I find the worst posts the ones that are oh so subtly begging, e.g. saying "gosh darn I just missed this sale, now i don't have this game oh what a shame never mind hi ho I'll just go and tell the orphans they can't play The Witcher 1 now"...
Gosh darn I just missed this sale, now I don't have Thief 2, oh what a shame never mind hi ho.....

will it work? :-)
*edit* just to agree, the gog community is great and I love to spend the time on the forums during the sales.

randomengine: I went through almost all of Silent Hill 2 with just the lead pipe and slowly/methodically killing anything that moved. I was OK as long as I could move slowly and eliminate all the scary stuff......

Amnesia you cannot do that. You can only hide and hope they don't find you.
Ha, I see. That adds a whole new layer of horror. Might not touch it then :D
Thank you so much gog. This game has been pretty much on the top of my wishlist. Purchased Wizardry 6+7, Crusader and Amnesia even though I am pretty much broke.

Everyone says it is really scary, but I didn't find it scary at all.

I actually quit playing because the "insanity" effects were very very annoying, and I just got bored of it.

But I guess for $2 it's worth trying.

I bought it because one day I hope to have courage enough to finish it. +3 seconds from me.

Considering Thief 2 wasn't in this sale.. I'd say it's kinda stretching it ;) Great point nevertheless :P

ReynardFox: I don't regret paying full price at launch, but it's lunacy to ignore this game for a measly 2 bucks.
That is what I wanted to ask.:) Never heard of it before, but the reviews seem be promising. Also the time is going up, so I assume people are buying it.

Thanks for asnwering a question I have not asked yet. :)
I g2g now if somebody will be so kind to by for me unepic while I'm gone I would really appriciate it. A can pay back via neteller ;-)

It was thief 3 not thief 2 that was on sale.

There should be a way to see other people's gaming collections so you can A. Verify they don't have it and B. If they have a bajillion games give it to the guy who has very few and therefore would probably appreciate it more.
