Let's do the time warp again*!

Welcome to our [url=http://www.gog.com]DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for a fascinating ride to the early days of PC gaming and back again, with 30 excellent titles selected from the years 1983-2013, available up to 90% off (that is for as little as $0.59!). You'll find amazing games in amazing prices featured one by one on GOG.com main page, and before the sale is done you'll be able to complete your very own display of gaming history on a budget below $65 (because this would be the cost to get every single game in the sale). Are you ready?

There's more than just buying games incredibly cheap to our DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! We're ready to pass its steering wheel (or rather the control console) to YOU. Each game in the sale is offered for a limited time only, and how long we stay in its year is up to you! Each time you see a new game on sale you can vote to either add or subtract 1 second from the timer. Each time you buy a game, you add 3 seconds to the time of it being on sale. We begin with 1983's Zork, bundled with the rest of the Zork Anthology of 6 games in total, for only $1.79. How long will it last on the front page? You'll be the judge. What comes next, as the game of 1984? Let's find out!

Let's take a trip in GOG.com's DRM-Free Time Machine Sale! 30 great games from 1983-2013 will be available up to 90% off, and you get to decide how long each game is on sale. Ready? The technomagical gateway to 1983 opens NOW!

* "Again?", you might ask, "when did they ever do the time warp?". Well, once you embark on a journey through time, all becomes relevant and there's absolutely no guarantee that what you are doing, you are doing for the first time. In fact, that's highly improbable. After all, time isn't linear. It's more like a giant wobbly-bobbly goggy-boggy ball of gaming awesome!

I hesitate to buy : I've never played this kind of game before. Is it really good ? And "easy to approach" ?

Dosudro: Well darn. Was going to grab The WItcher, but my gift card doesn't support foreign transactions. Is there a roundabout way to get this taken care of?
Paypal?

It's a good game. Lacking a bit in some areas (some of the characters are very flat and bland, much of the equipment you can get is useless), but very enjoyable nonetheless. The strongest point are the choices you make early on that will affect what happens much later in the story. It's not one you should miss if you like games where the story feels important.

And yes, it's fairly easy to get into. You just need to adapt to the rhythm-based combat, where you attack on a visual/audio cue to hit your mark. But after a while that's quite satisfying. It makes you feel like you're doing some sort of sword dance, which is pretty cool.

Despite all the good parts, it's not one of my all-time favourite games. I recommend trying it, regardless. Because it's much better than many other would-be RPGs out there.

Yep, The Witcher sale will last for some time.Maybe won`t beat Deus Ex but will last...
CANDIDATES FOR THE MEAN KEANE TIME MACHINE:

- Might & Magic 6 Pack

- SIM CITY 2000 SE

- Tomb Raider 1 + 2 + 3

- Deus Ex GOTY Edition

- The Witcher

(to be continued)

Who will win the Golden Hourglass of Wasted Time?
Stay tuned!

(But I'm pretty sure it will be Deus Ex ;) Or Sim City because it was so annoying!)

Well, now it says 65943:28:35. Is that in hours ? If that is so, then this is going to take even longer than Jack Keane...

1:30, yours is glitched.
Thanks to those who suggested PayPal. Sadly no dice. I've checked the giftcard a few times to be sure. I've got $4.60 on it so everything should work.

I've tried PayPal prepaid giftcard and Debit/Credit process types and both failed. Anyone have any other tricks? I know the card itself does not support foreign transactions, but I'd hoped that the PayPal option would process locally and then it would work.

Well, it seems good... I'll check more reviews before buying (I really don't know if I'll like the gameplay), but wanted at least one opinion ! Thank you for your help ! :)

You're welcome 8)
Ya know what the good part of these type of GOG sales?

Either going to work or going to sleep and then coming back to the site and seeing all the great games you missed. Life is so sweet. Good Times . . .
Judging by the way the timer is going this is going to be THE WITCHER: KEANED EDITION

What's keane about it:

- Arguably one of the keanest RPGs ever made, with a mature, non-linear story and a keane-ing combat system

- Beautiful graphics and an keanechanting soundtrack create a very keane dark fantasy atmosphere

- The Witcher's keaneverse is created by Andrzej Sapkowski - bestselling keanetasy author

EDIT: It really is a great game by the way and everyone should play, it is the reason I found my way here to GOG. :)
