If you go to the SecuROM site and download the removal tool, it will pull almost everything. Whatever it leaves behind will be removable manually.

I'd have expected the SecuROM install files to be installed on installation of the game from the DVD, and the activations details stored in registry on first running the game.
But thanks for the SecuROM removal tool link. Once the very few games I have with it are uninstalled (think I only have two or three, though Far Cry 2 shouldn't use it any more anyway) I'll be able to use it to remove SecuROM.
