that unlike all the other retarded download services, if i buy something here, i can legally and easily turn around and sell my download 5 months from now to anyone i want and they won't need anything special to just install and play right away?
that's what's keeping me from wasting/spending any money on any other download services. the fact that they seem to think that buying something from them means that i'm willing to give up all consumer rights to what i'm buying.
pokielbasione nie?

Well, the files you buy are DRM free, but there is limitations on use of these files.
You can install them on any system in your household(s), as many times as you want, but you can't sell it afterwards.
...sell your downloads?

DukeNico: ...sell your downloads?

Yeah, this. How exactly would you give up ownership of the game yourself? Because "sell" implies that the other guy has the game afterwards, and you don't. For that to be possible, you'd need stricter DRM in place.

Also, selling a game you bought is strictly forbidden. :o
By "selling his downloads", I guess he means selling the account.

I'm not really sure it would be legal.

He's right, but I haven't read about selling your GoG.com account.
You can't sell your GOG account either as far as I know.
(common sense, other usual EULA's)
You cannot sell the downloaded game. You can however download as many times as you wish and install on multiple PCs (that you own).
crappage. no, i didn't mean to sell the account. i meant if i buy something here do i retain all consumer rights to it. i.e. namely the one that says i can sell what i buy.
looks like the answer is sadly no.
true though that i guess there'd need to be some way for me to 'deactivate' my copy of the download and allow for someone else to activate theirs. perhaps as easily as just changing ownership to a different person's account (that already has a gog.com account).

Actually if i remember correctly it would be very legal, there was a German site(i believe) that got into some trouble a year or so ago because there was no possibility to sell on the products - there MUST be a way of deactivating or selling for it to work inside the EU i believe. Steam and other services has a severe problem in that regards too.
But really to be honest, GOG has fantastic prices, i don't really get the point in selling on something that costs 5$ to begin with.
Why the hell would you want to sell a game that cost you 5 dollars?

Monstro: Why the hell would you want to sell a game that cost you 5 dollars?

the REAL question you should be asking is: "Why should I give up my basic consumer rights at ANY price". whether the game is $5 or $10 (like they are here), or $20-$60+ like on steam/d2d/etc.
i bought it (last i checked i'm not renting/leasing it) = its mine = i should be able to turn around and sell it if i so choose. granted, i rarely if ever would, but that's ignoring the issue.
Making a mountain out of a molehill really. Selling software that you download sort of defeats the entire purpose of this site. It's set up that there is no DRM, and no monitoring under the trust and assumption that you will play nice. The minute that people start doing questionable and maybe illegal things, is the minute this site starts losing credibility.
