Delixe: Let's see the latest from Mike Laidlaw from the pages of Game Informer:
I like these gems here:

"It really depends on the definition of tactical". How about we define tactical as something without endless waves of parachuted trash mobs ?

"so we made the call to re-use some of the caves and other levels in the interest of providing more sidequests and encounters". Good call there, and it totally paid off too seing how those sidequests ranged from utterly boring to borderline insulting and how those encounters felt like the same damn encounter every signle damn time.

"Hard, however, presents a solid, and consistent challenge to veterans..". No it doesn't, chipping away at gigantic hp bars is not a solid, consistent challenge, it's boring as shit, like everything else in this game.

I think my favourite was "I think she's important, but she feels disconnected from my current goals!". Isn't that what we all thought when suddenly Meredith and Orsino turned up?

Also again going over what he said I am disturbed by the amount of 'I' in there. It's clear that Mike thinks it's a great game because everything was changed because I wanted them changed.

I actually really like DA2's combat and I agree with him that on hard mode it is a significant tactical challenge for the pause-and-planner. I do dislike the spawning mobs, but I think they admit that was a mistake and was done to pad the length of the game, as were all the MMO quests and repeated locations.

Honestly if the game had more time in development I think I would have only had one problem with it, which is the very linear story. The complete lack of any choice at all really bums me out. If DA3 keeps the same look and combat but actually has some decent development time to make more unique content and more choices I bet it could be a great game again.

Yes it was, pretty much.

To tell you the truth, to me it felt like every aspect that could have done with some exposition didn't get any and that what should have been the plot, "a" plot, turned out to be a never ending mess of expository bs written around the stupid side quest centric design.

So..uh...he assumed direct control ? Just further proof that the man wants to be in the ME franchise ;)

Orlesian Grey Wardens... (laughed out loud, damnit!)

Not really on-topic, but Dragon Age related. Witch Hunt decided to die on me, it won't allow me to import my warden anymore. Neat. It just crashes if I try to import. New character works fine...

Do I need to re-install the whole darn package?

Maybe try to load up the save you're trying to import, make a new one and then try to import that new one into WH ?
What Namur said.

Bad import flag I assume. Seems to happen way too much with Bioware games lately. I really hope they fix it as I bloody hope the Rachni are alive in ME3 after me saving them in ME1 then getting the message in ME2. I don't wan't another "YOU STUCK A GUN IN MY FACE!!!!" moment.

Could be. It works now, so thanks guys :)

I too hope that they would pay more attention with those "flags". I wanted to correct Nathaniel in DA2 when he announced to Hawke that my warden had sided with the architect..

Btw, Bio is already working the 1.03 patch :D

(Grabbed from bio forums includes SPOILERS)

Current issues, post 1.02:

General Issues
- Import Issues (Awakenings; re: Approval levels)
- Import issue with Zevran, Alistair and Morrigan (all)
- Olaf's Armory - Chest is invisible. Can still be interacted with, you just can't see it. (Act 3)

Companion Issues
- Carver goes from Grey Warden to Templar in act 3 during Best Served Cold hostage scene
- Isabela doesn't switch to her alternate outfit after the romance scene (requires using makers sigh to fix currently)
- Companions lose upgrades when they switch outfits
- Fenris' Dog conversation (Black Emporium) is not firing
- Merrill's 'Mourning' quest at the beginning of Act 2 is auto-completing. This quest is not supposed to be in the game so for now just disregard the message about it. (it does not affect your game at all)
- Varric's 'Friendly Concern' conversation trees are not firing for any LI except Anders currently
- Sebastian Vael - Despite having friendship maxed, his companion power does not show as active on his Abilities page (the bonus is working, however)
- Anders' rivalry dialog doesn't trigger (friendship instead) during endgame after the 'chantry part'
- Anders' Tevinter chantry amulet turn-in does not give the appropriate reputation modifier when in a rivalry

Quest Issues
- 'Who Needs Rescuing' quest still broken
- 'Sketchy on the Details' doesn't clear from the journal upon completion
- During 'Demands of the Qun' Aveline's guards are aggressive if you go to the docks at night

Combat Issues
- Varric's Disorienting Shot doesn't disorient (for more than a split-second)
- Modal abilities that should be exclusive are stacking if you toggle two of them on quickly
- Hawke can become immune to Injury occassionally
- Magic Resist is affecting Haste (causing the duration to be shorter, essentially resisting your own buff)
- Issues with Gravitic Ring under certain circumstances

PC Only Issues
- GUI Elements are not aligned properly after installing 1.02 Fixed. Users need to delete 'Troll-faced' mod from their addons folder to alleviate this issue.
- Directx11!!!!
- Flickering White Flashes in rare cases
- PhysX issues causing the game not to run
- Mouse Cursor causing stutterring animations and gameplay (the hold RMB for +frame-rate issue)
- Various issues surrounding 'guest'/administrator accounts in Windows
- Holding RMB over GUI elements causes the cursor to get locked on those items, the only way to fix it is to mouse over those items again (this can cause the game to completely lock-out input if done over the companion portraits)
- Mouseover text for set bonuses on Hawke's Abilities page extends upward off the screen
- Conversations and Ambient dialogs are missing the very first line for some users

Current issues that require new playthroughs (or older saves) in 1.02
- Slo-mo hawke (as well as other stat modifiers) are not retroactively fixed. The problem will not reoccur or get worse but whatever value you currently have will be stuck with you for now (there are many helpful threads about editting the save to manually fix the issue in the mean time)
- Aveline's 4th upgrade (Favor and Fault) will not appear if you've already entered the area once in Act 3 before applying the patch

Jesus fucking H Christ. They can't even fix plot flags in the game, forget about importing.

I would love to know what that is about. Have we been modding coolface on Hawke?
