Brillant!
Somebody should remind GOG that Destructoid isn't a games journalism site.

Nice to see some of CDP's less inflammatory, but nonetheless creative PR is still being practised.

Yeah, but it's still a site that's popular with gamers, even though it is otherwise completely irrelevant.

I don't think an actual games journalism site would post a news article about a PR-package they received in the post. At least I hope not.

The only crappy part is the fact that it was sent to Destructoid.
So what gaming sites do you people tend to follow? I'd never even heard of Destructoid before.

Or a site that even notices the PC exists as a gaming platform, for that matter.

I'm quite fond of Rock Paper Shotgun. Sure, they have their off moments. But even those top what Destructoid churn out (all in the name of getting access to E3 I might add).

Mobygames is like a wikipedia of gaming. Especially good for older titles.
This package was sent to a handful of sites. CNET also posted about it... not sure about the others.

If you're up for suggestions, I would highly, highly recommend

as well as

Critics with a large and growing audience, who have both expressed a lasting love of old games. Especially Spoony, who has done several videos on old FMV and PC games.
