Hi,

didn't find any topics about this so ill start a new one. Sorry for double posting if this already posted somewhere.

just downloaded witcher with gog downloader. Everything went fine and i have now 8gb game data at my hd. The problem is that downloader cannot compile .bin.chunk files to readable .bin files. Downloader starts to do something after all files are downloaded but eventually nothing happens. I tried to remove Witcher from client and add it again. Also tried to remove some of the .chunk files and download them again. Didn't help. Is there anything I can do except try to download again?

Are you certain you don't have .bin files at all? Sometimes the files compile properly, but the chunks won't be deleted.
Yep,

only fifth one is compiled properly. Installer gives me error: "Cannot Open file c:\GOG.com downloads\witcher\setup_the_witcher_enhanced_edition-1.bin. Thats cos theres no -1.bin file. Only setup_the_witcher_enhanced_edition-1.bin.chunk0 - setup_the_witcher_enhanced_edition-1.bin.chunk200.

I think i solved this one. When i first started a download I changed download path to different from default. I changed it back when i realized that it wont help at this download. Dont know why but when i copied all the .chunk files to directory which i was trying to use and downloader can now compile files.
I know you solved your problem, but I also ran into it.

I assume that you, like me, were running really low on HDD space. Since combining files requires additional space that is what caused the problem in both cases. Actually, to successfully combine Witcher files you need ~2GB additional space.
Simple solution was to make more space, delete one chunk file, re-download it and after that GOG Downloader successfully combined them.

I'm writing this just as future reference if anyone else runs into the same problem.
On a side note it would be really nice to have "combine files" button in GOG Downloader :)
Yeah, i've had the same problem as well. All though i my hdd has more than enougth space left.

I didn't have the problem with *.bin files for Painkiller.
