Minor silly question here, wondering if any of you has gone through this.
I'm downloading Advent Rising on a 640k connection. Left the computer on yesterday and went to bed. When I got back to the comp this morning, the thing was turned off. When I tried to get online, I couldn't. My wife turned on the TV and the thing was deprogrammed, so we figured we endured a blackout during the night.
Fixing the internet was as simple as unplugging and plugging the router back. I just got the GOG downloader going and it says it has downloaded 2 gigs of game already. What I'm wondering is... should I wait for the thing to finish only to find out the file is corrupted or should I start from scratch? If the comp got turned off without even pausing the download, some data is likely to have been lost, I guess.
If anything similar has happened to you and the file didn't work, I see no point on continuing with the download.
