It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I just bought a Windows 7 machine. The gog downloader is not associating with the files. I have no problem downloading directly (without the downloader) but the install hangs before I can even specify anything. Is there a fix for this?

2 questions
1) What browser are you using? Firefox (and maybe Chrome and Opera) sometimes have troubles getting the associations right, will try to find the post explaining how to fix it
2) Which install hangs? If it's a game install, are you sure you have all the required parts of the installer, and did you get the UAC prompt yet?
What game are you having trouble downloading? Is this with every game or a specific one?
1) I am using Firefox. If the associations are wrong (likely), how would I fix that for future downloads?

2) The installation to install gog.com runs fine. It's the programs I have trouble with.

3) Call to Power 2 hangs. I get the first file integrity check, then the UAC prompt, the second check and then nothing.

See here
Not sure about the setup hanging, it could be your AV that blocks it (temporarily or not), what AV are you using?
I haven't put on anti-virus yet and windows firewall has been off.

1) See the post JMIch has linked to :D

2 and 3) Here's the support article we have for Call to Power 2. I believe it should explain and help you with your installation of the game :D
