We'd like to invite you all to a gaming event and to help a noble cause.

Dorkapalooza! 2011 is a gamer gathering which also will be raising funds for the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS). Together with CD Projekt RED, we're giving some goodies for the lottery/auction that will take place at the event. Dorkapalooza! 2011 is taking place during the upcoming weekend 9th-10th of July in Glasgow, Scotland. For more details go here!

aluinie: Hope you guys enjoy your time in bonny Scotland. Pity i cant make it those days but hopefully you guys can enjoy our haggis, bagpipes, whisky (oh yeas the nector of life that) and the games.

Ps bring some sun fed up of rain here in the highlands.
Unfortunately only the GOG swag will visit this beautiful country during the Dorkapalooza, we're pretty much all stuck in the "rainy as in Scotland" Warsaw.

Cook: (snip)
That kinda made me feel better, couldn't make it and assumed that GOG guys would there.

Now just gonna send a minion to donate ;)
Good Event and Idea. So far away from me though :(
Doh. I'm working this weekend so I can't make it :( would love to though.
I would have loved to make it to Dorkapalooza. Shame its in Scotland and I'm in Australia :-( If you cant make it (Like me) you can donate and/or listen to the Gamerdork Podcast. (Gamerdork being the guys organising the event)
Also...Good on GoG and CDP Red for putting some swag together for the event!!
Nice idea for an event, shame I'm half way around the world away. Now if they would only just get teleporters mass produced already.
I'd love to go.
Well, Scotland is a bit far for me (and air tickets damned pricey). But I've found pretty easy to donate few bucks directly to CHAS by PayPal. However, auction is really nice idea, thumbs up!
According to Oxford´s Dictionary:

Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, 8th edition

hos • pice
BrE / hɒspɪs /
NAmE / hɑspɪs /
noun

a hospital for people who are dying
an AIDS hospice

Seriously, I think that the name of place that takes care of children should not be
"a hospital for people who are dying ".

It could be just children´s hospital really.

English is not my first language though, so maybe it doesnt sound too harsh to native speakers.
I wish i could make it but oddly enough, im helping out a different charity organisation this weekend.
For me it would be 16 hours travel in total and it wouldn't be cheap either. So it looks like I'm out. I hope it's going well though!
