Oh yeah how can I forget to mention the Fragging Free mod?

Basically, it's...a whole new game on its own. It's another attempt to modernise Doom 3, except it's got it's own campaign, and it lets you do crazy things like possess monsters, drive vehicles to take down bosses etc. Yeah, so if any of you are thinking of re-installing Doom 3, there are now 2 mandatory things to do: install Ultimate Mod to re-play Doom 3, and play Fragging Free for...well lets just say a breath of fresh air.
So has anybody managed to get Ultimate Mod working? Any comments?

Sielle: It was better once you got the duct tape mod. It's an ok game, good tech demo, but it won't stand up to the test of time... in fact I'd say it's already failed that test.

What ius the duct tape mod first Iv never heard of that.

Ditto. Makes the game much better if the flashlight switching bothers you. Great, simple mod.
Flashlight is attached to your gun. No fumbling back and forth.

It's a little mod that adds a small flashlight to the guns so you aren't constantly switching back and forth. The normal flash light is still larger and puts out more light, but the gun barrel one is at least usable when you're in a fire fight.

Another fun Doom 3 mod if all you want to do is shoot things is The last man standing mod. Its bascially just a see how many waves of monsters you can hold off against style game, its sp or coop though and great fun for a bit at a time.

Not a bad game. A lot of my friends thought I was going insane when I declared it the best game of 2004. I was in fifth grade back then, and actually finishing a game (even if the flashlight required the use of one entire set of hands) back then was an achievement.

I promise I'll install the game in the next week or so and try it out, but I'm juggling five games right now and need to finish at least one of them first. :)
I'm taking next week off, so I'll have plenty of time to clear the pile.
