NEVER! Why would anyone ever play games at work? Next someone says he's had sex at the workplace.

I have a friend who had a security job where he had to do a sweep of the grounds every so often, but could plays games in between. My last job paid a little more, but I was working constantly, so there was no time to play games. He probably had the better job.

At my security job all we can do is read. No electronics allowed at all - not even a coffee pot. No phone, no radio, no pda, no gaming. I can read books, but I can't have my nook. :-(

I moved back to St. Louis about 6 years ago. I moved away when I joined the military and temporarily relocated to California after that. But then decided to move back here because of the Illinois Veterans Grant (I'm in the Metro East). It's been nice to see my family again, but St. Louis wouldn't even crack my top 100 list of places I'd choose to live in the US (I've been all over the US so I have a pretty extensive list of places I'd like to live and places I'd like to avoid heh). Love the Blues and the Cardinals though, and I doubt that'll ever change. My brother has tickets to the game this Sat - I'm jealous.

But anyways, on topic - in the 15 years I've been working, I've only ever held one job that would have allowed me to game while working, and that was a temporary position that only lasted 3 months heh. In fact, that one position was the only job I've ever had that even involved sitting in front of a computer. Hasn't been a lot of time for me to game at work when I was cleaning chemical tanks in a steel mill or fixing airplanes in the military or even cooking at a restaurant lol. I have a pretty strong worth ethic and I'd probably feel bad about gaming at work unless the job actually involved periods waiting around with no other work to be done in the meantime. Boy, wouldn't that be nice. Maybe once I finish my degree I'll be able to find such a job.

But probably not.

I moved form Missouri to Michigan so I'm a real mess about Saturday, I'm a Blues AND Wings fan! :D

I have the odd casual game running through Steam on my work PC as I work from home and there's the odd lull between jobs. For that matter, it's the only thing I use Steam for nowadays.

I play yahoo pool, many games a day -_- Can't afford playing big games tho.

I usually don't as I have way too much to do during the day, but when there's not much to do we usually go to the basement and play some foosball or pingpong or silly things on the Wii.

I wouldn't dare... and even if I could, I think I can't play relaxed enough to enjoy it... :P

My brother owns enough books to count as a small library, so I'd be set. It's would be like paying me to do something I'd normally be inclined to do.

Definitely. I'm self-employed, and 90% of my work is tech support for one particular product. If the calls don't come in and my schedule and conscience allows, why not?

I found sometimes I can be so brain-dead and non-motivated that I can crawl through some semblance of work, actively avoiding gaming... but if I get a bit of gaming out of the way, I can then often tackle the responsible stuff soon after that.

Now I have a building to finish in Minecraft, TYVM.

Withdrawal symptoms? Daily fix.
I can see the addiction in my own behaviour at least.
