The only games I've pirated were those I could not buy anywhere, so now the instant they arrive on GOG, I buy them here and dispose of my old CDs.

Games which I have pirated as a kid are mostly replaced by legal ones already and now I don't pirate at all.

Pemptus: Sure. I more or less treat pirated games as demos, as developers rarely bother with them nowadays, and reviews are always biased in some way, and I'm not going to just charge in with my wallet blindly.
I'm not a saint, but I bought most of the games I downloaded and thought "oh yeah, this deserves my money".
This. Although, I do stumble into situations where I pirated a game before I had started to care about legit copies, then when I finally went out looking for one they were nowhere to be found (as far as I could see).
I always buy the game I pirated if they are available DRM free and I liked them.

Yes. In fact, for the last 5+ years, I bought every game I pirated before I played the pirated version, with the sole exception of Portal (which I bought anyway for the dev commentary).
Not really, because I hardly ever pirate any games. Those that I do pirate are ones that I have already bought but either refuse to work or have such unbearable DRM that I consider pirating the easiest way to work around it. Luckily that amounts to something like one game a year.
Yeah, I do.
No. Because I don't pirate at all ;).
I used to get abandomed games from abandom warez sites. No I buy them here.

Anyway I only pirated for a very short period of my life (the young and stupid years I call it).

I guess pirates will never buy games that were bad. Why should you spend money on games you never want to play again. Maybe on the good games, but then these will also be cheaper later, so it's easier to buy them.
i generally don't pirate games, so no. i buy all my stuff.

i do occasionally download an abandonware game, either because they're not available anywhere else legally, or just to take a demo look at it.

i never really play games i've acquired in an illegal or semi-legal fashion. i don't find it fun at all unless i know i legally own the game.
I pirate all my games, I buy (eventually) all my games.

KingofGnG: I pirate all my games, I buy (eventually) all my games.
Yay. I play new release and then pay 2 dollars for it three years later. I am the man

?

I pirated Indigo Prophecy after I found out that it was censored version on steam (ages before it appeared on gog)
i pirated Mafia 1 and a year later i found it a shop. bought it, put a poster on my wall... never installed.
Old games (Unless they pop up on here or if they are ridiculously priced on ebay and I'm pretty sure if publishers could deem it 2nd hand sales would be the same as piracy anyway...) and for some reason whenever I pirate new games they just stay there installed without being played until a computer wipe (If I actually give it a shot and like it though its only a matter of days till a purchase... less than 24 hours for The Witcher lol
Yes I have, but not all the ones I tried via pirating long ago. In fact, this thread reminded me of one from a while ago and I bought it :D
No I discovered I can have so much more fun if I sell them instead and spend the ill gotten earning on loose women.

Paingiver: I already bought 250-300 games for the last 4 months.
Dang, that's a lot of games!
